Sharia is not a Liberal's Friend

Short story first.

I worked in Germany in international business during the first Gulf war. I speak fairly fluent German and was hired by a large multinational American company to solve some problems.

Some of this multinational’s customers were some companies in Iran. They had representatives in our factory to consider buying machinery. After the discussions about equipment were concluded, over refreshments I had the opportunity to talk to them man to man. They spoke fluent German. We discussed world affairs. Saddam. Iraq. Iranian politics. All very amicably.

I asked how these very western looking and acting men were able to deal with the Islamic Fundamentalist regime ruling their country. They said that Sharia law was difficult but not impossible to work with if you just didn’t do stupid things. They were law abiding married men with kids who worked every day, went to mosque, paid their taxes and kept their head.

So, I ask you. Let’s suppose we lose the Middle East conflicts. Islamic Fundamentalism rules the world which is it’s announced intent.

Just like when Hitler said to his Hitler Youth:
"...You, my youth, are our nation's most precious guarantee for a great future, and you are destined to be the leaders of a glorious new order under the supremacy of National Socialism. Never forget that one day you will rule the world…" - Adolf Hitler, 1938.

So the President of Iran says to his people:
“We must believe in the fact that Islam is not confined to geographical borders, ethnic groups and nations. It’s a universal ideology that leads the world to justice”, Ahmadinejad said.

“We don’t shy away from declaring that Islam is ready to rule the world”, he added.

They expect to win, they have the money, and they have the will; And they are getting the military hardware.

So, how are things going to be for liberals in the “Islamic Republic of America”? As a conservative I think I’ll get along all right. But after the Islamofacists take over Canada (where Sharia Law is already partially in effect) and then because we may well elect some weak-kneed liberal as President in 2008 we better all bone up on our Sharia Legal Code.

Let’s see how that’s going to work out for you liberals:

• Brokeback Mountain? I think those cowboys would end up as headless horsemen if this happens.
• Gay Marriage? Well maybe in the prison you will find yourself in.
• Abortion? Eye for an eye means what for the abortionist. Sign up for protesting the outlawingof abortion when the Ayatollah is in charge.
• Adultery? Open Marriage? Living Together? Shacking Up? Sex and the City? Everybody must get stoned.
• TV will get just a little Narrower than the offerings we have today.
• Oh, and New York Times. I don’t think so. You’ll long for Fox News.

I’m sure you can come up with more. The fact is, if liberals just thought about it just a little they would get behind President Bush and scream like heck to win at all costs in Iraq, invade Iran and anyone else they can think of to stop the global cancer of islamofacism.

One other thought. If Sharia law is such a bad idea for the USA, maybe the folks in the Middle East seeking to be free deserve the same as we have. That might even be worth fighting for.

Just a thought about freedom.

Think about it Liberals. On the other hand that may be antimaximological.
