What bugs me is the ones that are just stupid. Barbers need Licences?
Those who minister need Licences?
It's all upside down. Now a MSM newspaper man has bemoaned the place the blogosphere has taken. That we are all unqualified. UNLICENSED. So, where is the line the establishment wants me to get into to get my blogging licences.
Here's what he said. Emphasis is mine:

I respect the journalism industry, and the fact of the matter is ...someone with no training should not be allowed to have any kind of format whatsoever to disseminate to the masses to the level which they can. And the people who suffer are the common viewers out there and, more importantly, those in the industry who haven’t been fortunate to get a radio or television deal and only rely on the written word. And now they’ve been sabotaged. Not because of me. Or like me. But because of the industry or the world has allowed the average joe to resemble a professional without any credentials whatsoever."

Every so often there is a wave of effort by someone with an interest to license landscape designers. And the landscape design associations send me pleas for money to fight it. Which I ignore. When they make it so you have to have a license to be a landscape designer, I will start calling myself an outdoor aesthetics consultant. Or a garden consultant. When they require consultants to hold licenses, I will go to the thesaurus again for a word the license law forgot to include. Or I will make up a new one. How does news get disseminated when there is no newspaper? People talk to each other. There evolves a place in town where people hang out to get the latest. The store, the post office, the tavern, the coffee shop. No one can require a license to exchange information. If they make blogs have a license, you can just take all reference to blog off the page and call it a personal web page bulletin board. Ain't no body gonna stop us from talkin'!!!!
