The recent election has left the GOP sharply divided. As caring and compassionate progressives, it is our duty to help their two fighting factions destroy each other as soon as possible. When the Republicans were in power we successfully manipulated their infighting with our planned long-term strategy. But now that the GOP is in shambles, we must quickly find a way to manipulate their rebuilding effort, making sure that the Moderate Republicans prevail over the Extreme Republicans. Once all conservatives are removed, the GOP will be nothing more than a puppet, kept only for the appearance of a two-party system.

Sen. Edward Kennedy: Rockefeller Republicans are perfect useful idiots. Like us, they have no principles and only care about power. Unlike us they are weak and spineless. Sen. Charles Schumer: Once all conservatives are removed, the Republican Party will be nothing more than a puppet, kept only for the appearance of a two-party system. Rep. Nancy Pelosi: The convergence of progressive forces is now complete. Next year will be devoted to the laborious task of stripping the Americans of their old values, which was the source of their powers. No longer will they be able to oppose Change! Sen. Harry Reid: Now that Obama has won, many of you would like to take a deserved R&R. But this is no time to rest. So the "Order of Moderation" is relatively quite nice. To this end The Peoples Cube presents the "Order of Republican Moderation" as a reward to those Moderate Republicans who show courage and bravery in ridding the world of conservatism, in the following categories: Compassionate Backstabbers Resolute Compromisers Righteous Quitters Reliable Deserters Rugged Wimps The first recipients of the "Order of Republican Moderation" are the nameless McCain campaign staffers who tried to damage Governor Palin's credentials, lending the mainstream media a hand in their battle against resurging conservatism. Progressive communities all over the world applaud their treachery and deceit. We haven't seen such brilliant scheming since the Clinton administration. Whoever they are, we predict a bright future for them in the coming Era of Obama. The next award goes to Moderate Republican columnists Kathleen Parker and Peggy Noonan, both of whom trashed Sarah Palin in print at key moments in the campaign. Parker and Noonan are hereby invited to all the Beltway cocktail parties in the coming four to eight years, and have their seats reserved at Obama's presidential inauguration. They would do well to start shopping immediately at Saks and Neiman-Marcus for dresses and pant suits that compliment their new shiny "Order of Republican Moderation" medals. From the People's Glossary: Moderate Republicans Like all good progressives, Moderate Republicans accept the historical inevitability of socialist victory over capitalism, only they prefer the change to come in small, orderly steps, hoping to retain access to the public trough when the world plunges into the normalcy of collectivism. In other words, Moderate Republicans reject the dogma of "the fierce urgency of now" - a mild heresy inside the broader progressive movement; nothing we can't eradicate once our power is absolute. Extreme Republicans Bitter extremists who reject the notion that the future belongs to socialist governments that will redistribute wealth to the unwashed, sacrificing the successful on the altar of the Common Good. Despite all the evidence provided by progressive journalism, academia, and Hollywood, these scoundrels cling to an old-fashioned belief that individual liberties and capitalism are somehow the only way to grow wealth, increase productivity, and eliminate hunger, diseases, and wars. They must be discredited and discarded.
