Why there's no speed limit on the Autobahn in Germany

OK, this is NOT Germany, but I saw this a lot when we lived there. The word for traffic like this in German is Stau.

An appropriate word.

The idea that you can drive as fast as you want is silly for the most part. Unless you can fly over the traffic. So far NOT.
