I'm in the army of the LORD

Amiee Herd said it better than I could have. I saw Christina Amapoor's take on God's Warriors. It was a hack job on good people in the Body of Christ. Sort of adult Jesus Camp except without understanding.

Mindless propaganda for mindless and soulless lemmings who believe everything CNN says.

The fact is that the equivalences CNN made between Jihadists and Christians were so lame and slanted to render the series laughable if it weren't so sad.

In today's PC culture Onward Christian Soldiers would be out as a hymn.

Certainly the children's church song kids (especially little boys) love to sing would be out of bounds:
I may never march in the infantry, Ride in the cavalry, Shoot the artillery.
I may never fly o'er the enemy, But I'm in the Lord's army. (yes, sir!)
I'm in the Lord's army, (yes, sir!) I'm in the Lord's army, (yes, sir!)
I may never march in the infantry, Ride in the Calvary, Shoot the artillery.
I may never fly o'er the enemy, But I'm in the Lord's army. (yes, sir!)

THAT'S the World View CNN tried to portray. It's soooooo wrong.

you actually are trying to say that is an appropriate song for little christian kids? how about when the accompany it with hand motions of shooting out into the audience and at each other and at their teacher? voilence is voilence is voilence and it is a bad thing to teach kids whether in a gory video game or a traditional nostalgic hymn. grow up.

Actually,
this song is a favorite of all little kids and it's absolutely appropriate.

I wish you had learned it. There are hand motions.

I even like singing it.

When you don't think you are in a war; the enemy has already won!

i did learn it. it poisoned the way kids treated each other at vacation bible school recess. but that was okay. because it is fine to learn fighting skills as kids in case we ever have to use them to defend our god againt others who beleive in a different god. when boiled down to basics, christianity and islam are exactly the same. each as wrong and evil as the other. when did the spanish inquisition end? how long and how bloody WERE the crusades? were the witches burned in salem REALLY witches or just accused as such and WHEN was THAT? just because kids love a violent song is no reason to teach it to more of them. that was a BRILLIANT answer. they love having only cake and ice cream for dinner too. and they love forming cliques at recess and beating each other up. yeah, let's let what kids enjoy rule the day.
