Mission Accomplished

For those who are of the not conservative persuasion I have some good and bad news for you.

The war in Iraq is WON. It's over. We win. Yea US. And this report by a left wing source.

That's good news, but here's the bad news, no liberal conformist will ever admit it.

It doesn't change the reality.

Bartle Bull, long-time Iraq correspondent, says the mission is almost accomplished: all-out civil war has been avoided, democracy accepted and life goes on despite the bloodshed

It probably won't change the election in 2008 - Although it should if people voted by knowledge and not leftist propaganda.

I'm still not convinced universal suffrage hasn't caused all of us to Suffer. What if you had to demonstrate some modicum of understanding about world affairs, US government and civics to vote. Just SOME. Would we have the government we have now? I'm not convinced.

you call bull a 'left wing source' only because he writes for the Times, but I'd call him a 'right wing conservative' if he writes nonsense like that.

God said, "Let there be light", and there was light.

The Times says, "The War is won", and the surrender flags came out all over Iraq. Well, not quite!

Name it and claim it?

Actually, the psychological war is lost and cannot be recovered. Shock and awe is now forgotten. All that is remembered is that a ragtag army of insurgents could tie down 100,000 plus Amercan troops for several years. American impotency and infallibility has been revealed. The American bully will never be the same again.
