Relativism and Christian Values - Eternal or Temporal

The AP is reporting how the Christian Right is regrouping. That we are somehow modifying our approach to be more effective.

What balderdash! I have a stronger word, but won't use it.

There are relativist palpable values and there are eternal values. If they are at odds the only option for a Christian must be to go for eternal values.

There is no relativistic compromise.

It grieves me to see people of faith bend and twist the Christian witness into a pretzel to somehow fit the world.

Paul warned of this. He said, Don't let the world PRESS you into it's mould.

That means that even if the whole world votes for evil, if the whole world declares a thing just and it's not, that doesn't make it right. Abortion and Gay Marriage come to mind.

If every single person on the face of the earth other than me agreed that it's a good thing to have unlimited abortion and Dan Marrying Steve that won't make it OK.

There are eternal values. They trump relativistic values all day long. Read the article. You will see that the battle for the heart and soul of the Conservative movement comes down to eternal values.

In Church last Night this statement:

Never confuse the will of the Majority with the Word of Faith.

I won't. How about YOU?
