How Obama is our Land?

This is a map of the nation colored by county as they voted. Those that went for Obama blue and McCain Red. Landslide? Not so much. Won? Yep.

We are divided as a country. Divided between Rural Values and Urban Values.

I know where I belong. How about YOU?

OH, one other thing. In case you were tempted to call the Obama Victory a Landslide this comparative headline will help you.

You're welcome.

Just doing my part to help you all comprehend what this division really looks like. It's not Pretty. The Divided States of America.

You are not as mathematically challenged as you let on. You KNOW the differene in these two races. Bush's 286 to Kerry's 251 electoral votes. A difference of 35 electoral votes. Bush had 53% of the elctoral votes and Kerry had 47%, a difference of 6% in the electoral votes. Not called until the next day. A difference of just one state, really. The people's vote was 50.7% to 48.3%, a difference of 2.4%. 2.4% is pretty darn close.
This time, Obama's 364 electoral votes to McCain's 162 was a percent spread of 38%! Obama has69% percent of the electoral vote and McCain 31%. Hugely significan and easy to call quite early. Landslide.
Obama had 53% to MvCain's 46%, a difference of 6%. More than double the Bush Kerry spread of popular vote and significant, if not a true landslide.
Sour grapes are best made into wine and sipped slowly later.
