There is a serious disconnect when CPS can't educate our kids and Chicago State is graduating people with Bachelor's degrees who can't read their diploma. Our problem is not more money for schools, our problems is schools who can't teach or train. IF we took experienced line workers near retirement age and put them in front of the young people who need to learn so they can become skilled to take... these jobs we would be making progress. The teachers unions would never allow such a thing. By the way STARTING SALARY for these unfilled jobs is nearly FIFTY GRAND a year. For that kind of money they aren't going to train you on the job. It's time to be angry at an educational cabal that doesn't educate but takes your money.See More
