Why not agree to a tax hike for people making over a $1 million (Joe Biden's #) and let the economy fall under his terms? Then Obama cannot say that it was the Republican's fault for not giving him what he wanted. This tax increase (though I don't believe in it) is trivial at this point. Make him own it.
