About the Liberian who just died from Ebola
He was sick when he left Liberia
He had been in physical contact with someone with Ebola (the dead body)
When he showed up at the emergency room he did not tell them this or anything about his history.
They were shooting in the dark.. if he had not lied or at least hid his situation, perhaps they might have been able to do something for him.
They did what they knew to do, no one had a clue it was Ebola..Doctors aren't perfect, no one knows that better than me..I have had some bad diagnostic experiences. They did all they thought they could do.. he was given the best health care in the world.. just not what he needed because he didn't tell the truth.
When he did come back by ambulance later he STILL didn't tell the truth. It delayed the diagnosis.
Once he was accurately diagnosed, they did all they could with what they had.. even flying in an unproven drug.. but he was dead by then.
I know that some really stupid people have tried to make this about
race.. it's not, it's about a man who hid the truth that might have
saved him. Facts are stubborn things, but to the race baiters facts
have no impact at all. Lies are what killed him and kills trust.

deteriorating. Then, suddenly on the afternoon of Oct. 2, came a hopeful
sign. Duncan was hungry. Nurses at a Texas hospital raised the
45-year-old…
