This should send a chill down every senior leader's spine.

I see too many who are of a temperament that brought Pastor Driscoll down. It's worse in the Prophetic Ministry. Too many unformed prophets speaking out of their flesh and opinion. OR saying a lot of nothing to stay safe. Time to stop and be what we were called to be. One thing is for sure, if you stand and minister, expect your listeners to stone you.. you will then only be able to depend on your ability to walk away hidden when they do, as Jesus did... Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I am!” At that point they picked up stones to throw at him. But Jesus was hidden from them and left the Temple. John 8:58-59 IF you are fearful of the scrutiny.. then what are you doing in the ministry? Stones go with the territory
Following months of scandal and controversy, Mark Driscoll has stepped down from the pulpit. But even his resignation has plenty to teach us.
