Hat Tip to Barry Kolb

Annual How to Truly Enjoy the Next Several Days Edition

1. Avoid carrot sticks. Anyone who puts carrots on a holiday buffet table knows nothing of the Holiday spirit. In fact, if you see carrots, leave immediately. Go next door, where they’re serving rum balls.

2. Drink as much eggnog as you can. And quickly. It’s rare.. You cannot find it any other time of year but now. So drink up! Who cares that it has 10,000 calories in every sip? It’s not as if you’re going to turn into an eggnog-alcoholic or something. It’s a treat. Enjoy it. Have one for me. Have two. It’s later than you think. It’s Christmas!

3. If something comes with gravy, use it. That’s the whole point of gravy. Gravy does not stand alone. Pour it on. Make a volcano out of your mashed potatoes. Fill it with gravy. Eat the volcano. Repeat.

4. As for mashed potatoes, always ask if they’re made with skim milk or whole milk. If it’s skim, pass. Why bother? It’s like buying a sports car with an automatic transmission.

5. Do not have a snack before going to a party in an effort to control your eating. The whole point of going to a Holiday party is to eat other people’s food for free. Lots of it. Hello?

6. Under no circumstances should you exercise between now and New Year’s. You can do that in January when you have nothing else to do.. This is the time for long naps, which you’ll need after circling the buffet table while carrying a 10-pound plate of food and that vat of eggnog.

7. If you come across something really good at a buffet table, like frosted Christmas cookies in the shape and size of Santa, position yourself near them and don’t budge. Have as many as you can before becoming the center of attention. They’re like a beautiful pair of shoes. If you leave them behind, you’re never going to see them again.

8. Same for pies. Apple, Pumpkin, Mincemeat. Have a slice of each. Or if you don’t like mincemeat, have two apples and one pumpkin. Always have three. When else do you get to have more than one dessert? Labor Day?

9. Did someone mention fruitcake? Granted, it’s loaded with the mandatory celebratory calories, but avoid it at all cost. I mean, have some standards.

10. One final tip: If you don’t feel terrible when you leave the party or get up from the table, you haven’t been paying attention. Re-read tips; start over, but hurry, January is just around the corner. Remember this motto to live by:

“Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate and wine in one hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming “WOO HOO what a ride!”

Barack H. Obama's BADLY Broken Promises

7 Broken Promises:
1. Make Government Open and Transparent
2. Make it "Impossible" for Congressmen to slip in Pork Barrel Projects
3. Meetings where laws are written will be more open to the public (republicans shut out)
4. No more secrecy
5. Public will have 5 days to look at a Bill
6. You'll know what's in it (Republican Senators didn't know)
7. We will put every pork barrel project online
Just so you don't think I'm kidding, here on you tube is BHO proclaiming this to be the case.

I know there are promises he made that he CAN'T keep. Like the unemployment level not going too high. BUT there are promises he made that he CAN keep. And, his bozo fellows in Congress just make mincemeat of him.

That's what happens when amateur hour takes place.

The Sadness of Old Liberals

I think nothing is more mournful than a cranky old sad lefty. I have a few friends who are left wing and have years under their belt who have not been infected with the liberal old person flu, but if I might generalize, most are pretty grumpy nasty unpleasant people.

Jimmy Carter
Nancy Pelosi
Garrison Keilor
Bill Maher
Joy Behar

And many others.

Then there are those who on the outside are very liberal but underneath have middle right sensibilities that belie their liberalism. Whoopi Goldberg would be one. I heard an interesting story from a business associate that confirmed this assumption with me.

When a person is young they can and SHOULD be a radical. They should believe. They should push for progressive change. It's part of growing up. Then, when they get older it's time to put away childish things and see the world for what it really is. Some never do. They become the face of Old Lefties.

Not pretty - Exhibit A:

Abraham Lincoln once said that a Man's face is the roadmap on which you can see all the joys and pain they have endured. Garrison's is not a good map to joy.

The Big Pharma - Big Insurance Protection Act

Over two years ago I came out of the closet and said we need reform in our broken health care system. One seriously flawed. One that no one has taken a shot at repairing. Particularly Now.

We have a terrible mess that is about to pass congress and that Obama will sign.

I do not repent of my desire to see a program to reform our broken health care system. I’m right. To do nothing is ignorance. To do something worse is criminal. That’s what we have. Now a plan that protects Big Pharma and Big Insurance will be signed into law. Even the radical left understands what a racket this really is.

This is a bad law written by bad people. You will hear more about this. When the details of this catastrophe becomes known we will all howl like banshees. It’s horrible. A nuclear bomb of bad policy.

So, there is the conundrum. Doing nothing is unacceptable; doing something worse is catastrophic.

Sure, we will have a brief victory in 2010. Who knows it might even get Sarah Palin elected in 2012. But, we have now proven who really runs this country. And the evil behind them have carved out a long term strategy to win from this day forward.

Welcome to Hell.

New Currency Release

Season's Greetings

To All My Democratic Friends:

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2010, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere . Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wish.

To My Republican Friends:
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in the year of our Lord Jesus Christ 2010.

Can you be a good news anaylist?

This story on climate change and Yellowstone National Park is so full of error and misinformation it staggers the imagination.

I wrote the author and told her so. She responded thanks for reading.

OK, Consider me thanked.

BUT,the truth is,this kind of political junk science can't go unchallenged.

I did.

Can you spot the untruths? Read the article, there are at least a dozen glaring errors.

Watching the Lefties Implode - or - what can happen when crazies and amateurs try to rule

'Weakness, chaos, and failure'

I've said it before, and I'll say it again:
The Democratic Party is not so much a political party anymore as much as it is a public relations firm whose primary target audience is that of a remedial civics class.

'Progressive' LIBERAL blogger John Aravosis seems to add my argument: (via Ace)
Why with 60 votes are Democrats so ineffective, but with 50 votes Republicans excel?
...

It's not about the votes, people. It's about leadership. The current occupant of the White House doesn't like to fight, and the leadership in Congress has never been as good at their jobs, at marshaling their own party, as the Republicans were when they were in the majority.
The President is supposed to rally the country, effectively putting pressure on opposition members of Congress to sit down and shut up. And the congressional leadership is supposed to rally its members to hold the line, and get the 51 votes necessary for passing legislation in a climate where the minority is too afraid to use the filibuster. When you have a President who is constitutionally, or intellectually, unable to stand for anything, and a congressional leadership that, rather than disciplining its own members and forging ahead with its own agenda, cedes legislative authority to a president who refuses to lead, you have a recipe for exactly what happened last night. Weakness, chaos, and failure.

We lost real health care reform not because we don't have a "real" filibuster-proof majority in the Senate. We lost health care reform because we don't have a real leader anywhere in our party.

Being an Overcomer

TGIF Today God Is First Volume 2, by Os Hillman
12-16-2009

"How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me?" (Ps 13:1-2).

Have you ever heard someone jokingly say, "It's not easy being me?" This expression is poking fun at their unique personality or challenges they face in life. Well, it wasn't easy being King David.

His life was a life of extreme highs and extreme lows. He was a shepherd, a political leader, a builder, a prophet, a businessman, a warrior, a lover, a giver, a murderer and a worshiper. He must have been criticized by others as being hypocritical in his early career. In each of these roles he achieved things for God but he also failed God on many occasions. He had a creative-type personality, which is often very passionate with many mood swings. We see this side of him when he unabashedly danced before the Lord in front of his subjects almost naked (2 Sam 6:14).

When David wrote his psalms he was honest about what he was feeling. When he feared his enemies he expressed it. When he could not understand why God was silent, he expressed it as in the psalm above.

However, David never stayed in the place of despair. He often ended his psalms like this one. "But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the LORD, for he has been good to me" (Ps 13:5-6).

David chooses to focus on what God has done for him, not what He has not done. If you are waiting for a breakthrough with God, be honest with Him about your hopes and dreams. However, also affirm your faith and trust in Him to accomplish His purposes through your life. Be an overcomer.

Second Graders in Indiana taught songs calling Allah God and never mention Jesus in a "holiday" program

First reported by American Family radio and Fox News. Thank God for Watchmen on the Walls.

In Indiana a "christmas" program was presented that the children sang no actual songs about Jesus. His name was never mentioned.

BUT

GUESS WHO'S NAME WAS? ALLAH. These are impressionable Second Graders. This is not a mistake or political correctness gone amock, this is EVIL. Let's call it what it really is.

From this report (read the whole thing)

Here’s what the children were assigned to sing:

“Allah is God, we recall at dawn,
Praying ‘til night during Ramadan
At this joyful time we pray happiness for you,
Allah be with you all your life through.”

But when it came time to perform the “Christian” part of Christmas, children were assigned to say:

“I didn’t know there was a little boy at the manger. What child is this?
I’m not sure if there was a little boy or not.
Then why did you paint one on your nativity window?
I just thought if there was a little boy, I’d like to know exactly what he (sic) say.

Micah Clark, executive director of the Indiana AFA, launched an Internet protest once he heard about the allegations. “What surprised me here is that we’ve had a secular scrubbing of Christmas for so long and the school apparently didn’t see the problem with kids singing to Allah,” he told FOX News Radio. “You won’t even mention Jesus and you’re going to force my child to sing about Allah?

We have much work to do. This is a full on pagan society.

One Hundred Thesis on the Wall

For anyone who wants to slog thru them, a journalist from Great Britain has assembled a list of 100 reasons why Global Warming is happening and why it has nothing to do with man and why we should stop all the foolishness.

This is pretty conclusive so if you believe in the Gore-ligion and all his apostles assembled in Copenhagen you may not want to read this. It will make your head explode.

Of course anything of faith that is contradicted by truth and science will cause true believers to come unglued.

It would me.

Except, there is no such list for a belief in Jesus as the Christ of God. So, sorry, I'll pass on conversion to the church of Gore.

What they teach you in Journalism School but SHOULDN'T

I want to know what managing editor made these decisions and more important WHY he or she still has a paying job. If you ever wondered why MSM is dying on the vine, read no further than this. From "The Voice in my Head":

Remember this?

If you wonder why American newspapering is dying, consider this sign-off:

AP writers Matt Apuzzo, Sharon Theimer, Tom Raum, Rita Beamish, Beth Fouhy, H. Josef Hebert, Justin D. Pritchard, Garance Burke, Dan Joling and Lewis Shaine contributed to this report.

Wow. That's ten "AP writers" plus Calvin Woodward, the AP writer whose twinkling pen honed the above contributions into the turgid sludge of the actual report. That's eleven writers for a 695-word report. What on? Obamacare? The Iranian nuke program? The upcoming trial of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed?

No, the Associated Press assigned eleven writers to "fact-check" Sarah Palin's new book

Now we have this. From the AP's article covering (up) ClimateGate:

The AP studied all the e-mails for context, with five reporters reading and rereading them—about 1 million words in total.

That's less than half the reporters they assigned to "fact-check" Sarah Palin's book.

I want to lose my cable connection, is this it?

Over thanksgiving Tom gave me a good explanation on how and why this doesn't work.

BUT, reading THIS article it seems like we are getting closer.

I'm ready to say bye to cable.

MAYBE SOON?

On the road meant OFF this time

Last week I had a business trip to make. I drove to DesMoines IA, then to Omaha. Stayed with My Sister and Brother in law near Omaha. Very nice visit. Then on to An early morning meeting Tues Morning. The weather report was radically bad.

I made my meeting, then after a brief call and check up, I headed north.

Hey, I'm from North Dakota. I can handle this.

Except I can't. I made my PM meeting in Granville near Orange City and then headed east. I wanted to get as far as possible. I made 11 miles. To Pocahontas IA. And was bizzarded in.

But by 11AM I decided I'm outa here.

Made another few miles and hit whiteout blizzard condition. I stopped after hitting a huge snowdrift. Made better friends of a Cenex gas station manager than I wanted to.

After deciding without any empirical information that things had improved. I launched off. It was better. But, on the road there was a white out. When it cleared up...I saw a car in the middle of the road. I saw a front end loader next to it. I could hit the front end loader, or the stalled car or the ditch.

I hit the ditch.

For the next two hours I waited to be pulled out. I was finally. A hundred bucks later I was back on the road a thousand pounds of snow heavier.

And it was cold.

After driving on 20 for a few hours I ended up on the interstate between Waterloo and Iowa City. It was glare packed snow. Almost impossible. But I made it. And I made it home.

I guess I had paid my running off the road dues.

It's been hard but I am happy to be alive. And have my car full whole.

The good news is the trip was worth the effort. I guess if it was easy anyone could do it.

Feathered Evangilists

We put up our bird feeders outside. We didn't have any "Customers" the first day. The second a few. Then, today, many.

I have a feeling that birds are good Evangelists. Or they are so happy to have something to eat that they tweet thanksgiving loudly and other birds hear and come.

Of course there's that squirrel who keeps chasing them off....He wants it for himself.

I think there's a message in there somewhere.

I miss the opera

The economics of life has caused us to back off on the opera membership we have had for twenty years. It became expensive and difficult to justify. The same with our Shakespeare theater season tickets.

I miss the opera. A lot.

I listened to the opening from the Met on the Radio Saturday. It was just cleansing to hear it all again. I guess when you change your lifestyle some, things change, and sometimes there's a hole.

There is.

A Nuclear Physisit PhD does a Scholarly work on Anthoprogenic Global Warming... Conclusion? It's Bunk.. Surprised?

If you want to read the whole thing with attributions and bibliography you can read it here.

Or you can just take my word for it. Global Warming is a hoax of the worst possible agenda.

The ACORN Entitlement Ruling is Government run Fully Amuck

Funding Degenerate Organizations has now become an Entitlement. A Federal judge in NYC ruled the government cannot cut off funding for ACORN without a "trial."

"The question here is only whether the Constitution allows Congress to declare that a single, named organization is barred from all federal funding in the absence of a trial," Gershon wrote in a 21-page decision.

How is that the question? Which Constitution is this judge reading? Congress has the right to cut off funding for anything which it is funding, receiving money from the government doesn't give a "due process keep giving me money" card.

We know ACORN is a Democratic organization run by degenerates who use federal money to register, legally and not, any kind of Democrats to vote. If not for federal money and the money of rank-and-file union members this organization wouldn't exist. What is sadder than tax payers funding this group are the millions that have come from union paychecks(here and here), most of whom I'll wager don't even know it.

I'll bet no one was allowed to question Hitler or Stalin either

At a UN conference on climate change a man asked questions of the panel including Al Gore.

You are not allowed to question. It's settled they say.

So security was called and hauled him away.

And they have the temerity to insist they aren't fascists.

Has the USA become ungovernable?

Matthew Yglesias: “The smarter elements in Washington DC are starting to pick up on the fact that it’s not tactical errors on the part of the president that make it hard to get things done, it’s the fact that the country has become ungovernable.”

Funny, that dumb cowboy Bush seemed to get a lot done with fewer votes in Congress. . . .

Plus, from the comments: “There have been no major institutional changes in the United States government in recent history that have caused it to ‘become ungovernable.’ There just isn’t enough political support to enact various news laws and policies that you favor. Tough. If you hadn’t become seduced by the delusion that Obama is a ‘progressive’ and that last year’s election represented some kind of historic realignment in favor of ‘progressive’ policies you might have seen this coming.”

Or, as Ed Morrissey noted a while ago: “Who could have warned us that a man who served seven years in the state legislature and three years in the Senate would not have been prepared for the toughest executive position in the Free World? We did. Repeatedly. So did John McCain, and for that matter, so did Hillary Clinton.”

Barack Obama wasn’t ready to be president, and he better figure out what he’s doing before it’s too late.

I hope he begins to figure it out. And I hope he soon gets a congress made up of adults.

I'm starting to root for him, we need him to be competent soon. I can only hope.

If you almost believe a lie, it's nearly as bad as really believing it

If you have a half hour or so and a computer and decide to plow thru the data you can discover how the lie of Global Warming "Science" was foisted upon the world. Iowahawk has done the work.

It's pretty settled. Pretty conclusive. Global warming is a lie from the pit of hell. Here's the truth:
  • Climates change.
  • The lies are all about control and politics.
  • Evil men and evil governments are behind this.
  • I'm glad they were caught.
  • I hope they go to jail for a long time. Al Gore who probably is a dupe in all this should go to jail for just being stupid.
  • Global warming is NOT pollution. It's climate change. I'm for clean environment. I'm against lies meant to enslave population.
  • I know this whole thing won't close the door on bad policy, but maybe it will slow it for a while. The EPA decision to make CO2 a pollutant was completely out of order. It was a pressure tactic for liars to pressure congress into implementing other bad policy.

How long will we have to put up with these crazy people? Not much longer I suspect. This has become a complete meltdown. I say, let's put the pressure on, not let up. It's all lies and if you believe a second of it, it will put you in chains.

Lies. All lies.

Bush closes the gap

Public Policy Polling:

Perhaps the greatest measure of Obama's declining support is that just 50% of voters now say they prefer having him as President to George W. Bush, with 44% saying they'd rather have his predecessor. Given the horrendous approval ratings Bush showed during his final term that's somewhat of a surprise and an indication that voters are increasingly placing the blame on Obama for the country's difficulties instead of giving him space because of the tough situation he inherited. The closeness in the Obama/Bush numbers also has implications for the 2010 elections. Using the Bush card may not be particularly effective for Democrats anymore, which is good news generally for Republicans and especially ones like Rob Portman who are running for office and have close ties to the former President.

Anemic Faith

TGIF Today God Is First Volume 2, by Os Hillman
12-10-2009

"For we also have had the gospel preached to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith" (Heb 4:2-3).

I run into anemic Christians everyday. They have a form of religion but fail to mix their belief with faith and obedience. The apostle Paul described them when he said "these people have a form of godliness but deny its power."

What are the telltale signs of anemic faith? When you no longer pray about decisions, you have anemic faith. When you fail to speak to others about their relationship with God, you have anemic faith. When you're unwilling to spend time with God everyday, your faith has become anemic. You no longer have a living faith.

God spoke to John, the apostle, through a vision and told him about some Christians who were part of the church in Laodicea:

"To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation. I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold-I am about to spit you out of my mouth. You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see" (Rev 3:14-18).

These are strong words from our Lord. We are all susceptible to growing cold and anemic in our faith. Today, ask God to revive your heart and to restore the fire of your faith so that you will experience a vibrant and active faith that impacts the kingdom of darkness.

If you choose to get away and hear from God... A HOW TO

Don't eat....drink water. Fast..but try not to eat. It distracts. Yes fasting is hard, but you are trying to hear the voice of God. Fasting disciplines your flesh and opens the connection from heaven.

Don't take books with you. Maybe not even your Bible. I know that's heresy, but you have the word IN you. Let Father bring it to life as you hear from him.

DO take a blank journal.... and something with which to write. If you have questions to inquire of the Lord, write them down. He may or may not answer them. When he does it will be wonderful. Don't push it. It's not about you. You listen. He'll speak. When he says what he will say, write it down.

Some of what you scribble in your notebook will seem to be babble. It will seem to be just so much noise. But as you write, as you transcribe, the Lord WILL speak. You will quickly discern what is from Him and what is NOT. It will be clear.

Don't be impatient. Most of these deals for me take a couple days just to make the connection. After that it's pretty fluid. Most of what you hear will be at the end of your time.

Be merciless at eschewing ALL communications, all connection, all news, all anything with the outside world. You must not be distracted.

This is good discipline in hearing from God. The more you do this, the easier it gets. You will discover the "zone". Then when you need a word you can get there quickly.

This is about you hearing him, so don't feel obligated to talk.... Oh, it's good to voice your prayers and concerns, but absolute silence is essential. His voice is still and small. Yet in the Spirit it trumpets.

Try to just wait. Don't be impatient. And if you get upset by the silence, just rest in him. Even if you sleep. The time when you are just waking up, that twilight of the mind when nothing else is going on many times is when He comes to you. Many dreams and visions were recieved in sleep. Samuel was called in his sleep.

Fast facts about The Climate Gate Scandal

On the night of November 19, a compressed file containing 1,073 emails and almost 3,600 other files mysteriously appeared on a download site in Siberia. These emails and files had somehow been taken from the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU) in the UK. This became known as Climategate.

The CRU and its director, Dr. Phil Jones, are important because the CRU is a central point for data collection, storage, and analysis of climate data. And Dr. Jones is one of the lead authors of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) AR4 report, which is the basis for much of the current political drive for CO2 limits.

The theory IPCC favors for climate change is that human-caused CO2 emissions are causing the climate to warm beyond what would naturally happen.

The Climategate files held many embarrassing revelations. They appear to show collusion on the part of many of the top names in climate science:

* to subvert peer review and prevent publication of papers that didn’t completely agree with the favored theory;
* to manipulate data, and the analysis of data, to make the best case for the favored theory;
* to avoid releasing their data under the Freedom of Information laws in the U.S. and UK.

About the Science

* The consensus is not scientific as much as it is political.

What we find out from the emails is that Jones and a number of others were using underhanded manipulations to suppress scientific publications that disagreed with the CO2-caused AGW theory. There is no scientific consensus if all the science isn’t being considered.

* There’s a difference between “global warming,” “anthropogenic (caused by humans) global warming,” and “anthropogenic global warming caused by CO2.”

* The Climategate files don’t call global warming into question, but they make some of the science of anthropogenic global warming more suspect, and they make it clear that “forcings” other than CO2 have not been fairly considered.

* There has clearly been significant warming in the last 400 years — since the “Little Ice Age”. That’s how we know it was the Little Ice Age.

* There is good reason to believe that humans may be accounting for some warming — and some cooling, for that matter. But we don’t know how much.

* The case for all or most of the warming being due to CO2 was not as unquestionable as it was presented to be, and from the Climategate files we know that even that case was being slanted significantly.

* There is more than one “smoking gun” email (see here, here, here, here, here, and more)

* … but the program codes are much more significant than the emails

* … and the program codes will be yielding new surprises for a while to come.

About the Politics

* Science invariably has politics involved. That’s because science is invariably done by people.

* The key to science is “trust but verify”: you trust the science because you are assured you can verify it if necessary. The Climategate files show the CRU clique wanted to be trusted, but didn’t want to be verified.

* The science was being used politically long before we think it was.

About the Finances:

* “Global warming” was a big source of grants and funding.

* “Global warming scientists” got to go to all the best conferences. (Tahiti? Gstaad?)

* Ultimately, there are billions of dollars to be made off of “global warming.”

When you Don't have a moral compass, any road will get you there

This very intesting OP ED in the American Thinker poses a question. Why does the Left seem to be so adrift in their thinking. They are adaptive. Relativistic. Without a compass, moral or otherwise.

In recent weeks we have witnessed liberals in the highest level of government sanctimoniously defend terrorists who kill us, while persecuting those who defend us from murderous attacks. In an effort to understand this reversal of good and evil, it has become a cliché to call liberals crazy. But while supremely hypocritical, liberalism is not insane. It is a highly adaptive ego device that enables people to violate commitments, vilify those who are true to their faith, and avoid personal sacrifice while feeling great about themselves. The only defense against hypocrisy is self-knowledge; the politics, spirituality, and morality of liberalism are well-constructed firmaments of self-delusion.

The United States was founded in a Judeo-Christian theocentrism that is informed by scripture and assumes a personal God who hears prayers and grants forgiveness for sin. Theocentrism provides stable laws and settled moral codes.

In the mid-twentieth century, an unorganized, reactive spiritual orientation arose, egocentrism, which has become the dominant moral framework in our nation. This orientation says there may or may not be a God, so each individual must follow his or her own conscience and ethical values. Theocentrism has been promulgated by traditional religion. Egocentrism has mainly been introduced through mass media, educational power structures, and more recently by reoriented religions.

Bin Laden is still dead

Robert Gates admitted there hasn’t been any evidence of his existence in years.

This charade has gone on long enough.

When the Air Force roasted Tora Bora to 2000 degrees Fahrenheit Bin Laden was rendered extra crispy.

Time to admit it.

NOW, let’s have a barbecue with (of) the rest of the crazies over there and get this thing over with.

It’s Got to Suck to be a Climavangelist!

Doug Giles
Saturday, December 05, 2009

What are the global warming grunts going to do now that the Apostles of the Holy Church of Climatology have been busted for cooking the “truth” (I believe the exact word they used was “tricking” us) so that we the sheeple would step-n-fetch to their Chicken Little crap?

What will chunky Al Gore do seeing that he has officially slammed into a veritable inconvenient truth? I hear that Gore hasn’t been this gauche since he was busted in 2001 by Warren Christopher while lip-synching to “Dancin’ With Myself” in the Lincoln Bedroom wearing only Tipper’s pantyhose, Madonna’s snow cone bra, and Janet Reno’s glasses.

This just in! NewsBusters reports that Al Gore has just cancelled his $1,200 per person December 16th Climate Change blah blah blah speech in Copenhagen. Come on, Al, don’t quit now. It’s just about to get good. And there will always be plenty of Euro-tools who’ll continue to buy your trumped-up, utterly specious green hash gobbledygook. Cowboy up, sister.

You and I both know that Judas Priest Albert Gore, facts be damned, will never recant but will instead retreat in a recalcitrant manner deeper into Hollywood weirdness where the global warming Kool Aid runs like Tiger Woods did from his angry wife with a 3 iron. Trust me.

As John Stewart pointed out on the Daily Show this week, oh the irony that the Internet Al invented has debunked his global warming bunkum. Christmas came early this year for me! Yes it did. Pay attention, kiddies: You’re viewing history in the making. Yep, little children, the Climavangelists’ attempt to hoodwink our planet will make your history books. Correction: that would be the homeschoolers’ history books. But I digress.

Back to the modus operandi of the tree humpers. Here’s what the greenies will do now even though they know they’ve been had: They’ll try to kill the news, and if that doesn’t work they’ll attempt to kill the messenger as they plug their ears, stomp their feet, and keep believing their goofy gospel of green. They have no other recourse as they have worked too hard for this to be true.

In addition, for the power brokers of this hot earth heresy there is just way, way too much money to lose and control to be forfeited for them to concede that their leaders have been lying SOBs.

Nor should you expect the lower level hairy-legged earth girl to bail out of her tree, cease to drop acid, stop wearing hemp and assimilate into reality anytime soon just because she got fish slapped with truth. These green gals will, one and all, Jim Jones this thing to the bitter end and maintain their global warming course right through the coming ice age. Hail hot mother earth!

Yep, since the revealing of the egregious climate con job discovered in the email exchanges with “scientists” at the University of East Anglia and the subsequent resignations of a couple of their glory boys, Climavangelism and Climavangelists have fallen on tough times. Kinda like ACORN has. Maybe, like ACORN, the Climate Change/Global Warming reality stylists could change their name. Yeah, that’s it! I hear ACORN is going to fly under the new moniker “Societal Assistance Through Action Now,” or “SATAN” for short.

As you can tell, I truly don’t give a rat’s backside what Al Gore and his warm earth whores do in light of being lied to, but I do care what normal, non-brainwashed droogies do in lieu of this academic Ponzi scheme. I say a little rebellion is in order seeing how these clowns have sought to control our lives and milk our wallets in one of the greatest scientific scams in the last few centuries.

Here’s what I’m gonna do:

1. I am going to go outside by my pool and spray two full 32oz cans of Aqua Net right at the ozone.

2. I am going to use a gas powered scooter to go from room to room in my house, which will have all the outside doors open wide while the A/C is blowing full blast.

3. I am going to buy a ‘69 GTO with no exhaust system and let it idle for 4 hours a day in my driveway every day until Jesus returns.

4. I am going to fart as much as possible.

5. Speaking of farting, I am going to feed my cows bean dip and only bean dip. 6. I am going to set my thermostat on 85 in the winter and 55 in the summer.

7. I am going to use all my curly cue fluorescent light bulbs for clay pigeons—and not clean up the mess.

8. I am going to air up my tires on my ‘69 Goat so much that it looks like a frickin’ Macy’s Parade float.

9. When I go grizzly bear hunting in Alaska this spring I am going to add a polar bear to my license and take one of those as well.

10. While in Alaska I will take a blowtorch to a glacier to get my drinking water. 11. In addition, I am going to throw snowballs at seals. It won’t hurt them, but they will understand that the game is back on.

12. And finally, I am going to make certain my girls have Horner’s book Red Hot Lies and Milloy’s book Green Hell so that when their profs and goofy friends open their mouths on behalf global warming they can go Stone Cold Steve Austin on them with the cold, hard facts.

Why meeting a Payroll Matters

I have been very critical of Barack Obama. But I will cut him some slack. Before he was elected I said that other than his gross inexperience my primary concern of him was that he had no experience in real life, had never met a payroll, didn't grasp basic economics. So I guess we have to explain away his incompetence in things economics. I hoped he would get past it.

Pitifully it has come to pass. He still hasn't figured out basic business 101.

And he was so far out of his depth when he made this comment during his "Jobs" meeting (at the 2 minute mark) that "Proof" noted:

Part of what’s happened also among a lot of companies, is they figured out how to squeeze more productivity out of the workers that they’ve got. They’re working people longer hours, they’re doing more overtime… or not, but either way, they’re producing the same amount of product or providing the same services without hiring more people. That’s something that we really going to have to work on.

Spoken like a man who’s never had to meet a payroll! In fact, in nearly every company I ever worked for, as they were growing, there were times when our customer base had expanded, but not quite enough to justify hiring new people (profitably) to take up the slack, and until that happened…mirabile dictu some of us ended up working longer hours or overtime…or not… to provide goods and services to our customers! What a bumpkin! How naive can you get???
If Obama is really serious about “working on” the problem, he can lower taxes on corporations so that they can hire more people to provide better goods and more services and still maintain a margin of profit. Also, he can stop threatening to tinker with the American healthcare system, to give employers the confidence to be able to rationally calculate what it will cost to hire those additional workers, over time, as opposed to wondering what new government regulation or requirement might bankrupt them!

Oh, yeah. And while you’re at it? Drill here. Drill now.

Learn from God's Creation

TGIF Today God Is First Volume 2, by Os Hillman
12-05-2009

"For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse" (Rom 1:19-20).

Have you ever had someone say, "I don't see any evidence of God. How can a person believe in someone you can't see or see any evidence even exists?"

The Bible tells us that God is revealed in His creation everyday. Look at the human body and consider the likelihood of how thousands of body parts that must work together. Someone created it to work this well. If it were a manufactured product, it would be in the repair shop all the time because of all the moving parts required to make it work.

Consider the wonderful order and balance of nature and how the seas know their boundaries, the beauty of the mountains, and the balance of rain and oxygen needed to balance the ecosystems. Consider God's signature, the rainbow.

The 12th century Scottish Christian mystic, Richard of St. Victor said, "The whole of this sensible world is like a book written by the finger of God." Look at nature and wonder at the creative design of the hundreds of thousands of species of animals like the tiger, the elephant, the great whales, and the millions of species of birds, just to name a few.

Consider the planet we live on. "The Earth is a rough sphere about eight thousand miles in diameter, which means that it's about four thousand miles straight down to the center. We're accustomed to thinking of it as a ball of rock, but that's not so: the great majority of the Earth is liquid - molten rock called magma swirling, incredible slowly, beneath our feet. The solid part of the earth that we live on, and in whose hollows the sea sits, is called the crust, and on average it's only a few miles thick - maybe ten miles. That's like a layer a third of a millimeter thick coating a football. We live on that incredibly fragile, thin layer of plates floating on the subterranean sea of magma."*

Yes, God has revealed Himself in His creation.

Faith is the new order - by Reinhard Bonnke

FAITH is the most basic distinction between one person and another. The entire world stands on one side or the other of the line of faith. There are only two different types of people – not rich and poor, not black and white, not learned and unlearned, not Jew and Greek, not male and female. None of these distinctions really exists in Christ. God sees only believer and unbeliever. “He who believes … will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned” (Mark 16:16).

Faith is the new order. Unbelief is the old and dying order. Faith is the dividing line which runs right through mankind. Having faith, or having no faith, are the only alternatives for our approach to life.

Fear sees just what man sees. Faith sees what God sees, and acts upon it. Faith creates action, and people of action, like Caleb and Joshua. Unbelief keeps us tied down in a spiritual wilderness – as Israel was for so many years. Fear and doubt magnify the difficulties, making us think people cannot be won for Christ and that the world is too strong. Without faith, we fear failure and mockery. With faith, people can be won, and so the joy of expectation grips us instead. By faith, we move into God's fullness.

Piling Up

Driving home last night pulling a trailer with my pickup I hit glare ice. It snowed and froze. Pretty tense.

I saw 30 accidents from Milwaukee to Delevan WI. One was fatal.

There but for the grace of GOD. I didn't go... but could have.

Piling On

I am famous for Piling on when someone has been a doofus or worse.

For instance I was not impressed with Obama's west point speech. So, I piled on.

Now Sarah Palin said that if the question of Trig being her baby or not is OK then it's fair game to question Obama's birth certificate.

She didn't say she believed in it. She said it was fair game. Anyone can go to her facebook page and look at what she said.

In any case, now some are piling on. Even some conservatives.

BOOO.

She didn't say what people say she said. I have the transcript. It's everywhere. I guess I think it's OK to pile on the other guy's guy but not to pile on my Gal.

But Politics ain't beanbag.

I may have to go to Jail

According to a bill being ginned up, people like me, people with opinions, people who are critical of bad politicians are going to come under government control.

I guess that Free Speech thingy is all so much Barbara Streisand.

I understand that there is ONE person in HELL who really likes it. From the Comments section:
Folks,

I think Durbin's and Feinstein's amendment is just SWELL! You go GIRLS!

Respectfully yours,

Joseph Goebbels
(Formerly Reichsminister of Propaganda and Enlightenment)

P.S. Could someone please FedEx me three pairs of asbestos underwear and a big roll of duct tape? It's hotter than Megan Fox down here in the Ninth Circle of Hell and I've got to tape Hermann Goering's mouth permanently shut. That fat f***er been running his yap non-stop since 1946 and it's driving me piffy. Vielen Dank!

United Airlines Breaks Guitars - From New Wineskins

I rarely post e-mails verbatim, but this one is too flat-out good-natured funny not to, especially for this former “1K” (100,000-real-miles-per-year) United flier who now avoids them like the plague. Apologies if I’m late to a party everyone has already attended. Received from a former client:

A musician named Dave Carroll recently had difficulty with United Airlines. United apparently damaged his treasured Taylor guitar ($3500) during a flight. Dave spent many months trying to get United to pay for damages caused by baggage handlers to his Custom Taylor guitar.

During his final exchange with the United Customer Relations Manager, he stated that he was left with no choice other than to create 3 music videos for YouTube exposing their lack of cooperation. The Manager responded: “Good luck with that one, pal.”

So he posted retaliatory video #1 on YouTube this past July. The video has since received over 6.2 million [now 6.3 million] hits.

United Airlines contacted the musician and attempted settlement in exchange for pulling the video. Naturally his response was: “Good luck with that one, pal.”

Taylor Guitars sent the musician 2 new custom guitars in appreciation for product recognition from the video that has lead to a sharp increase in orders.

Here’s the video for song #1
And song #2:

It can have its downsides, but at its best, alternative media is awesome.

And yes, RB, I thought especially of you when I saw this one.

Three Deceptions Than Can Derail You From Your Destiny

Philippians 3:17 -- "Brethern, join in following my example, and observe those who walk according to the pattern you have in us."

Paul faced a major problem in the first century. False teachers had slipped into the Church. The apostle warned the Philippians, and us by extension, to recognize the differences between a true man of God and a deceptive teacher or prophet. Without any sense of false humility, Paul declared that both his vision and his spiritual attitude were examples for us to follow. He instructs us in our powers of discernment to look for and observe leaders who exemplify, teach, and equip the church laity in the things Jesus demonstrated in His Own life, ministry, and outreach which include:

1. Embracing the love of God as it flows through us into others.

2. Posessing a passion and vision to carry the gospel of the kingdom to non-believers.

3. Posessing a passion to disciple believers in the church so they can be effective in discipling others.

Philippians 3:2 -- "Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the false circumcision."
The first group Paul identified as "the dogs." In Paul's day one could find dozens of canines eating off the rubbish heaps outside cities, their faces bent downward as they sniffed and rooted out garbage to feed upon.

Today's Church has similar people, fault-finders, who incessantly and self righteously feed upon the garbage and failures of the human condition. Paul is saying "Beware of those who always have something negative to say and are continually judging or slandering others and the ministry of others."

Luke 18:9 -- "trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and viewed others with contempt."

Beware when your teacher must frequently tear down others to lift himself up.

Paul next warned against the "evil workers."
These individuals proclaim Christ, but they do so from envy...strife....selfish ambition rather than from love. For them, building a church is a competitive endeavor, a business. James also underscores this problem, saying. "For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing." (James 3:16)

The third warning was aimed against the "false circumcision" (Philippians 3:2). The essence of this error was that Christ's atonement was not enough for salvation; you also had to keep the whole system of Mosaic Laws to be saved. Today people continue to import religious obligations into the salvation experience. Paul separates himself from the Mosaic Law, revealing that his quest is to "be found in Christ, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ" (Philippians 3:9). Being "in Christ" our destiny is not just to carry Christ inside of us but to reveal the fullness of His glory to the whole world.

One of Paul's efforts as an apostle was to build a Gospel of the Kingdom consciousness into the new church believers thereby promoting unity.

2 Corinthians 4:6,7 -- "For God, who said, "Light shall shine out of darkness," is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpasing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves."

We carry a treasure in these earthen vessels. We are responsible for filling the earth, cities, regions and nations with the kingdom of God. Jesus is waiting for us to co-labor with Him to fill the earth with the knowledge of the glory of God.

Best Christmas Present

The news on the climate gate scandal is the best Christmas Present I ever got.

For a while there it looked like a losing battle. Fighting against the evil ALGORE. He just kept saying, "Settled".

I worried that Cap and Trade might happen. Or other kinds of stupid.

This funny, clever and insightful piece from the British Press says it best.

Science is the pursuit of the truth, not consensus

Financial Times 10 October 2007
The route to knowledge is transparency in disagreement and openness in debate. The route to truth is the pluralist expression of conflicting views in which, often not as quickly as we might like, good ideas drive out bad.

Michael Schrage’s comment on politics and science (FT, 26 Sept 2007) struck a raw nerve: and provoked an extended response from the president of the UK’s Royal Society (FT, 1 Oct 2007). Lord Rees advocates that we should base policy on something called “the scientific consensus”, while acknowledging that such consensus may be provisional.

But this proposal blurs the distinction between politics and science that Lord Rees wants to emphasise. Novelist Michael Crichton may have exaggerated when he wrote that “if it’s consensus, it’s not science, if it’s science, it’s not consensus”, but only a bit. Consensus is a political concept, not a scientific one.

Consensus finds a way through conflicting opinions and interests. Consensus is achieved when the outcome of discussion leaves everyone feeling they have been given enough of what they want. The processes of proper science could hardly be more different. The accomplished politician is a negotiator, a conciliator, finding agreement where none seemed to exist. The accomplished scientist is an original, an extremist, disrupting established patterns of thought. Good science involves perpetual, open debate, in which every objection is aired and dissents are sharpened and clarified, not smoothed over.

Often the argument will continue for ever, and should, because the objective of science is not agreement on a course of action, but the pursuit of truth. Occasionally that pursuit seems to have been successful and the matter is resolved, not by consensus, but by the exhaustion of opposition. We do not say that there is a consensus over the second law of thermodynamics, a consensus that Paris is south of London or that two and two are four. We say that these are the way things are. Nor is there a consensus on evolution since creationists will never be reconciled to that theory. There is no possibility of a compromise, in which Darwinians agree that a few animals went into the ark with Noah and their opponents acknowledge that most species evolved.

Numbers are critical to democracy, but science is not a democracy. If an evangelical Christian converted all members of the Royal Society to creationism, that neither would nor should affect my belief in evolution. Most scientists know no more about climate change, HIV/Aids or the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine than do most lawyers, philosophers or economists, and it is not obvious who is better equipped to assess conflicting claims on these issues. Science is a matter of evidence, not what a majority of scientists think.

It is easy to see why the president of the Royal Society might want to elide that distinction, but in doing so he turns the organisation from a learned society into a trade union. Peer review is a valuable part of the apparatus of scholarship, but carries a danger of establishing self-referential clubs that promote each other’s work.

Statements about the world derive their value from the facts and arguments that support them, not from the status and qualifications of the people who assert them. Evidence versus authority was the issue on which Galileo challenged the church. The modern world exists because Galileo won.

But to use the achievements of science to assert the authority of scientists undermines that very process of science. When consumers believe that genetically modified foods are unsafe, mothers intuit that their children’s autism is caused by the MMR vaccine and politicians assert that HIV/Aids is a first world conspiracy, the answer that the scientific consensus is otherwise does not convince – nor should it. Such claims are mistaken because there is no evidence for them, not because scientists take a different view: scientists should influence policy by explaining facts and arguments, not by parading their doctorates.

The notion of a monolithic “science”, meaning what scientists say, is pernicious and the notion of “scientific consensus” actively so. The route to knowledge is transparency in disagreement and openness in debate. The route to truth is the pluralist expression of conflicting views in which, often not as quickly as we might like, good ideas drive out bad. There is no room in this process for any notion of “scientific consensus”.

Climate Gate - Climate Liars caught Green HANDED

Now the question is, What to do with all this. How do we undo the damage. How can we get the textbooks written with truth in them.

What do we do?

Here is a PDF of a paper on this issue.

It has solutions.

Not as drastic as some who want to prosecute and imprison the culprits starting with Al Gore.

But, radical rebuke and shame for the lies is appropriate.

How to "Make It" in the Ministry - A prophetic word and Joni Mitchell

Facebook has been an eyeopener for me. Wow. Such ambitions. Such intensity. Such a desire to make it. It's ungodly.

I know a woman from a local church who tries so hard. She is involved in everything ever time the doors are open. She is almost possessive about what she does. To the point of failure.

She is so overwhelming no one else has a chance to do anything if she is involved.

She is a classic case of trying to hard.

It seems like this is an epidemic in ministry today. Trying too hard. Self promotion. Overbearing.

I have deleted some ministries who just became too much. One man in particular who couldn't make a post or an update to status without begging for money. To distraction. I could finally take it no more. Delete.

Then there are the jack of all trades master of none ministries. Only Jesus was gifted in everything all the time. You weren't and neither am I.

Be what you are and let God open the doors. I will speak prophetically for a moment....
Father says, I am not impressed with your efforts, your fasts, your sacrifices, your ministries. I am most impresed when you are focused on ME and respond to what I have placed in your heart.

If you are a biblical scholar you will see that those thoughts come from the Prophet Isaiah

They are also reflected in a song Joni Mitchell sang:

After the rush when you come back down
You're always disappointed
Nothing seems to keep you high
Drive your bargains
Push your papers
Win your medals
mess your strangers
Don't it leave you on the empty side?

All this talk about holiness now
It must be the start of the latest style
Is it all books and words
Or do you really feel it?
Do you really laugh?
Do you really care?
Do you really smile
When you smile?

You criticize and you flatter
You imitate the best
And the rest you memorize
You know the times you impress me most
Are the times when you don't try
When you don't even try

I know offensive word in this song. I know, I know. I edited it a bit. BUT, Joni Mitchell described much of what is going on in many ministries and churches today. I believe in a way if we have ears to hear we will hear it. It's like Father is saying to you:

You know the times you impress me most
Are the times when you don't try
When you don't even try

The best advice I ever received in ministry long long long ago from a Black Pastor were these. They have served me well. I pass them on.

Do less BETTER. Find what God has most anointed you to do. ONE THING. Do that. Local Church. Local area. Connect with ministers and leaders. Be part of what THEY are doing. Stop trying so hard. Let God do his thing. Be steady. Help other people. Don't quit or be discouraged and ONE DAY will find yourself in places and situations you could not have imagined. Embrace whatever God gave you to do and pursue that with diligence. He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek HIM and HIS anointing. Anything pursued in the flesh will fail in the end.

Last, I would say, don't try to find your identity in your church, your ministry or your efforts. It's not about you.

Find out who you are in HIM. Be that. Go where that calls you. He will make room for your gift. It's not about you.

Why Sarah Palin matters

This op ed from the Wassilla newspaper.

You need to read this. Liberals won't. It's ok. They whistle past the graveyard.

I agree with the conclusion of this article....She's the real deal.

The imaginary science of man-made global warming

By Bruce Walker
The imaginary science of man-made global warming can now be entered into the infamous history of politicized science, the results of which have threads in our lives today. Consider the residue of such frauds as Rachel Carson, Alfred Kinsey, and Margaret Mead. Carson's invented findings and unscientific methods led to the banning of DDT, which in turn cost the lives of tens of millions of children in undeveloped nations. Kinsey's tortuously doctored "sex research," as Dr. Judith Riesman has so amply demonstrated, was not only invented to sate his perverted lusts, but created scientific myths about normal and abnormal behavior which haunt us to this day. Mead also simply invented research to fit her idea of what the science of anthropology ought to be in order to justify her own immature and immoral behavior. Carson, Kinsey, and Mead had an agenda before they did any research, and this agenda governed everything else.

Science is supposed to be the impartial blend of data with theory that allows human knowledge to go wherever the evidence leads. Serious science must be firmly grounded in moral absolutes. This sounds untrue to modern ears because we have been indoctrinated with a false history of science. Without faith in an ordered universe according to discoverable principles, science cannot exist. The assumption that life and the universe are rational is religious in nature. There must be a belief in ultimate truth -- a faith, something which religion brings that is not found in a man-centered mindset. If man is all there is, then why can't truth be relative?

Those who hijack science, however, are not interested in truth. They have created a false history of science which asserts absurd lies like "medieval Christians believed the Earth was flat." (Not only is that not true, but the religious influence upon science tended to confirm that the Earth was a sphere, and Christians of the time had the truest calculation of the circumference of the Earth of anyone around.) The men who founded modern science -- Galileo, Copernicus, Kepler, Pascal, Napier, Newton, and others -- were much more religious than their contemporaries. Those who hijack science for personal and political reasons pretend that religion interfered with science, but this is no more than a power-hungry agnostic's narcotic delusion.

This fraud has left many ghosts. "Aryan" science pretended, for a time, to be rooted in real science. Many Nazis considered their vile rites to be steeped in pure science, and they condemned the religious sentimentality of those who thought that men are men and not livestock.

Perhaps the most egregious ghost is Trofim Lysenko, the man who ruled the life sciences of Soviet Russia from the late 1920s until the early 1960s. He had a theory which fit Marxism perfectly: acquired characteristics can be inherited. This is not true, of course, but Lysenko had the Politburo and Stalin behind him. It was science that fit the political needs of the Bolsheviks, and so it was science backed by the awful power of the party and the state.

Lysenko's experiments were heralded, although the experiments were never replicated. The Soviet Union was full of botanists, biologists, geneticists, and other life scientists, and it was obvious to anyone with a free mind that Lysenko was propounding nonsense. But it was not until 1962 that the Soviet government allowed a real critique of his cartoon science. Why?

Because in the Soviet Union, as in Nazi Germany, truth was never "objective." Science could literally be "Aryan," or "proletariat," or otherwise fit into some sort of sociopolitical mindset. God was dead in Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia, so no one was there to acknowledge the lies or account for the intellectual mischief. Honest scientists were imprisoned, tortured, and killed because they rested on the thin reed of the scientific method, which ill withstood the hurricane of politically correct science. Inconceivably, the life sciences of the largest nation in the world taught blatantly false "science" for decades. When criticism of Lysenko, an honored figure in Soviet "science" until 1964, was finally permitted, his acolytes realized that fear, bribes, lies, and false honors work much better than empiricism where science devoid of God is concerned. The ghosts spawned by Lysenko still haunt us today. The "science" of a modern Lysenko -- Albert Gore, Jr. (son of the famous racist, Albert Gore, Sr.) -- is totalitarian nonsense. The only question is this: How many good men must be consigned to the gulag before the dulled consciences of the administrators of academic "learning" smell Lysenko's stench?

Bruce Walker is the author of two books: Sinisterism: Secular Religion of the Lie and The Swastika against the Cross: The Nazi War on Christianity.

I predicted that Obama wouldn't finish his term... This guy seems to agree

From Galganov.com:

When Obama won the Presidency with the help of the LEFTIST Media, Hollywood and Entertainment Liberals, Ethnic Socialists (ACORN), Stupid Non-Business Professionals and Bush Haters, I wrote:

It won’t take 6 months until the people figure this guy out and realize how horrible a mistake they’ve made. And when they come to that realization, the damage to the United States of America will be so great, that it will take a generation or more to repair - IF EVER.

The IDIOTS who not only voted for the Messiah, but also worked their sorry asses-off to promote his Lordship, are now left holding the bag.

Here are two things they will NEVER do:

1 – They will NEVER admit to making a blunder out of all proportion by electing a snake-oil salesman with no positive social history or management experience of any kind.

2 – They will NEVER take responsibility for the curse they’ve imposed upon the immediate and long-term future of their country.

In essence, the people responsible for putting this horror-show in power are in themselves responsible for every cataclysmic decision he makes and the consequences thereof.

In just 6 (SIX) months, the Messiah’s polls are showing the following:

On Healthcare Reform - He’s going under for the third time with polling well under 50%, even within his own Party.

Even though he might be able to muscle a Healthcare Reform Bill by using Chicago BULLY tactics against his fellow Democrats, it will just make things worse.

On Cap And Trade (Cap & Tax) – The Fat-Lady is already singing.

On the Stimulus Package (Tax and Spend) - His popularity is in FREE-FALL.

On the TARP package he took and ran with from President Bush - It’s all but Good-Night Irene.

On the closing of GITMO and “HIS” war on what he no longer wants called the War On Terrorism - He’s standing in quicksand with his head just about to go under.

On a comparison between himself and George W Bush at the same 6 months into their respective first term Presidencies - Bush is ahead of him in the Polls.

On a comparison between He Who Walks On Water and the 12 preceding Presidents between WW II and now - Obama ranks 10th.

On a Poll just conducted, that asks who would you vote for today between Obama and Mitt Romney - It’s a dead heat.

Between Obama and Palin - Obama’s ONLY ahead by 8 points and she hasn’t even begun to campaign.

It seems to me that Obama wants to be everywhere where he shouldn’t be.

He’s personally invested in screwing-over America’s ONLY REAL Middle Eastern ally (Israel) in favor of Palestinian Despots and Murderers.

He’s traveling the world apologizing for the USA while lecturing others on how to do it right, when in fact and truth, he has no experience at doing anything other than getting elected.

He went to the Moslem world in Egypt to declare that America IS NOT A CHRISTIAN NATION while he heaped praises on Islam, where he compared the “plight” of the Palestinians to the Holocaust.

The Russians think he’s a Putz. The French think he’s rude. The Germans want him to stop spending. The Indians want him to mix his nose out of their environmental business. The North Koreans think he’s a joke. The Iranians won’t acknowledge his calls. And the British can’t even come up with a comprehensive opinion of him.

As for the Chinese, he’s too frightened to even glance their way.

Maybe, if America’s first Emperor would stay home more and travel less, and work a little bit instead of being on television just about everyday, or forget about his Wednesday Date Nights with his Amazon Wife, or stop running to “papered” Town Hall Meetings, perhaps he would have a little bit of time to do the work of the nation.

In all fairness, it wasn’t HARD to be RIGHT in my prediction concerning Obama’s Presidency, even in its first 6 months, so I’m going to make yet another prediction:

OBAMA WILL PROBABLY NOT FINISH HIS 4-YEAR TERM, at least not in a conventional way.

He is such a political HORROR-SHOW, and so detrimental to the USA and his own Democratic Party, that the Democrats themselves will either FORCE him to resign or figure out a way to have him thrown out.

Who knows, maybe he really isn’t a BORN US Citizen and that’s a way the Democrats will be able to get rid of him.

Or – MORE LIKELY THAN NOT, the Democrats will make Obama THEIR OWN LAME DUCK PRESIDENT.

I don’t believe the Democrats have nearly as much love for their country as they do for their own political fortunes. And with Obama, their fortunes are rapidly becoming toast.

The Democrats can keep on blaming Bush for EVERYTHING. But, that game’s already begun to wear real thin.

Their mantra was “WE DON’T WANT 4 MORE YEARS”, which the STUPID people bought, since McCain was nothing at all like George W Bush.

The new mantra will soon become: WE DON’T WANT 6 MORE MONTHS.

A Prophet without Honor
TGIF Today God Is First Volume 2, by Os Hillman

"Where did this man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to Him, that such mighty works are performed by His hands? Is this not the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house" (Mark 6.3, 4).

Have you ever noticed how difficult it can be to spiritually impact your immediate circle of relationships and family? Jesus warned us of this phenomenon. We often relate to family and friends differently because they have a history with us that no one else has. They most likely have not had the privilege to witness the spiritual transformation that you have experienced and is evidenced by others in your life.

The spiritual authority that others may recognize in you is not there with your own family and friends. "After all, you're just my sister or brother, with whom I fought, played, and lived everyday life," is what is thought. Jesus was more qualified to be a carpenter than the Son of God in his own family and community's eyes. It was too difficult to change old perceptions of someone they knew so well. So too, is it for your family members.

The sad result of this mindset is that we often do not experience the same fruit of ministry in our family's lives that we do outside this circle. It is an unfortunate truth. "Jesus still healed a few sick people," meaning there is still a remnant of faith that can receive from you and I. Ultimately, God determines the fruit of our lives. Do not allow spiritual pride to prevent you from freely giving to your family and friends when they do not receive you in the way you think they should. You don't know which "few" God will choose to touch through your life.

Many did not receive Jesus. Therefore, many will not receive you. Nevertheless, allow God to touch the few in your circle He chooses to touch through you.

These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me and that’s good and all that really matters. (Mark 7:6b re-mix)
