Actually, as creator of the website, let me assure you it's a parody, created with the intent of capturing the (unfortunately all too real) historical phenomenon.
The photos were touched up with added lighting effects for comic effect -- but the posters are real, the quotes are real, the praise and adulation of his "disciples" is real, merely culled from the news.
So your concern is actually quite merited.
