Why we went into Iraq

In case there are a few left among my readers who doubt the truth about why we went into Iraq in 2003 here is a complete story of it all.

That ought to settle it.

The irony is that Hussein started off as an American client. That is the pattern of American foreign policy. You put in a dictator. Then you get tired of him and get rid of him. Then you put a worse one in his place.

At the moment, you are handing over money and supplying weapons to all sorts of ratbags and crooks in Iraq. I can just imagine what sort of Marcos or Thieu will have risen to power by the time you have finished.

And in the process you have slaughtered a million Iraqis and made another 3 million homeless, (even Hussein did not manage that sort of chaos) but I guess they do not matter, because they are not nice Americans.

A great achievement!!

Ron, your statistics belie your prejudice.  No where NEAR a million Iraqis have been killed.  In fact it's less than a quarter of that.

You listen to too much left wing news.  Probably from the government.

Here's an AP story that has the facts
and I'm not sure they aren't exaggerated some.

Since this detailed study was done that puts the number at about 220,000, fewer than 30,000 have been killed and the last month was the lowest since the beginning of the war.  CNN  reports.

Going into this war was and is the right thing to do.  You are going all premillenial on me.

Has everyone forgot how Sadam snubbed his nose at the UN and refused to comply? How about his attempted invasion of Kuwait? How about the mass graves of the many people he murdered, including his own son-in-law? I swear, the world is mad! That man was a murdering self obsorbed dictator who was definetely in bed with terrorism! He went on public TV the day he took over in Iraq holding the head of the man he deposed. If you feel America is so bad...leave and go live where freedoms are not to be found. Personally, I am disgusted with the Judas mentality of some. You would not have the freedom to be so bold elsewhere and live to talk about it. God does bless America indeed and many have benefited from her help.

The exact statistics do not matter.
Is a quarter of a million dead ok?
