What Brokers are Saying Regarding the VIX

* When volatility is greatest, it is a sign of a market bottoming out, based on investor psychology and history

* When the spread between bid and ask prices widen, that is the sign of a market bottoming out, based on investor psychology and history

* We're seeing bid/ask spreads growing in stocks and sub $5 shares

* The VIX is absolutely through the roof, implying an increased likelihood of a market bottom

* A high VIX gives a direct correlation to levels of uncertainty

* Greater uncertainty means investors are less willing to pay for (or tolerate) speculation.

* This results in money pouring out of speculative stocks, combined with stampede selling, which has brought share prices down well beyond realistic levels

The result is that oversold stocks have a two-fold upside:

1. Their business can pick up from an operational perspective (meaning they make more money each quarter as they execute on their business plan). The stock's price will likely follow the results higher.

2. Overall market speculation can return (slowly and given time) resulting in an increase in share prices.

This is a great opportunity for cash that is on the sidelines to be invested. With all the chaos, fear, and panic, you'll be robbing people as they throw away their stocks.

To bolster my opinion, here are the facts of what to expect:

* The VIX will settle down, as it always does

* The market and the economy will recover over time, as it always has in the past, and as it always does

* Speculation will return to the markets, as it always does

If you can have patience and be greedy both at once, I can't think of a better investment strategy in this market environment. Be greedy as you scale into the bargains, and have patience as they recover and balloon your worth.

What Government Bloat Looks Like

Below is a list of every single US Government agency on file today. Some are good. Some are needed. Most are not. What is worse is all of them have a budget, all of them have a staff, all of them have redundant management.

This is why our government is so out of control. And, now we have new administrate
departments because of the economic crisis. I have gone down the list and have made several departments that I would eliminate today if I could.

Here is the full sorry list.

How I know Abortion is Murder

I hesitated to post this. I was reluctant in a big way to post any pictures. I know all of the arguments about why Women need to have a Choice. As Obama called them, a burden.

The child in their womb has a distinct Fingerprint, Has distinct DNA, is an individual in every way. Only the umbilical cord and the space rented for 9 months is the connection between mother and child.

I retrieved some pictures from a militant anti abortion website. I don't agree with their tactics. I refuse to link to them. I prefer to just point you to the evidence and let your spirit and soul be your guide.

I cannot accept abortion at any level. It is in that way that I agree with Sarah Palin. It's horrible, Rape, Incest. Abortion is more horrible. I warn you, DO NOT LINK OUT TO LOOK AT THE PICTURES IF YOU HAVE A WEAK STOMACH, ARE EASILY UPSET OR EMOTIONAL. This will turn you inside out. It did me.

I wrote about this in my prophetic blog. After seeing this I was disturbed for days. It's not my intention to disturb you too. I just think you need to understand that the those being aborted are children, not a mass of tissue.

I am taking a blog risk in doing this. Google may take me off line for posting these photos. I'm willing to take that risk. Perhaps my blogging days are over after this. If on the other hand I can convince anyone on how evil Abortion is it's worth taking the hit for.

One thing for certain is, for these children their life is over.

You can see the pictures here.

Something will Now Change

I won't get too esoteric on you, but let me introduce you to the VIX index. It is a calculation of the amount of volatility, uncertainty, fear in the stock market.

If the number is high, (the green line) it means that fear is rampant. The blue line is the DJIA.

This morning the VIX index peaked at 70. It has NEVER BEEN THAT HIGH.

With this much panic in the market, something has to change. It will.

I smell market bottom. Monday will tell the tale.

Obama the Magic Dragon

From Wall Street Journal Opinion Page:

And now, America, we introduce the Great Obama! The world's most gifted political magician! A thing of wonder. A thing of awe. Just watch him defy politics, economics, even gravity! (And hold your applause until the end, please.)

To kick off our show tonight, Mr. Obama will give 95% of American working families a tax cut, even though 40% of Americans today don't pay income taxes! How can our star enact such mathemagic? How can he "cut" zero? Abracadabra! It's called a "refundable tax credit." It involves the federal government taking money from those who do pay taxes, and writing checks to those who don't. Yes, yes, in the real world this is known as "welfare," but please try not to ruin the show.

For his next trick, the Great Obama will jumpstart the economy, and he'll do it by raising taxes on the very businesses that are today adrift in a financial tsunami! That will include all those among the top 1% of taxpayers who are in fact small-business owners, and the nation's biggest employers who currently pay some of the highest corporate tax rates in the developed world. Mr. Obama will, with a flick of his fingers, show them how to create more jobs with less money. It's simple, really. He has a wand.

Market Bottom in Sight

This is NOT thus saith the Lord.

This is Gene after many years of trading. We have hit a major support point in the market.

I know about chart patterns. Chart patterns say to me we have now found a bottom. And it's a weekend coming up. I suspect tomorrow will find higher closes on the Dow.

Then, stability. Trading range. And, over time the bear market will end. It will trade sideways for a while. But it will trade.

At least that's what the chart says.

The Anchoress On PSYCOLOGICAL WARFARE being waged by the MSM against YOU!

Don’t let the psy-ops throw you

I’m getting a sense that some people are freaking out, out there, that it’s three weeks to election and so it’s time to hyperventilate.

Of course that’s not true. Three weeks is still a huge chunk of time in an election, and things turn on a dime. The whole point of the big “landslide” story is the press helping Obama out some more; it is meant to make you despair and not go vote. It’s a game. While they’re saying “landslide,” and Charlie Gibson is acting like he’s in heat, Obama’s lost another point at Rasmussen.

The truth is, he’s not closing the deal, he can’t close the deal
unless ACORN goes out there and registers 105% of voters, slashes tires and does all the stuff they have done (with little-to-no press coverage) with increasing vigor in each election.

Obama is a construct. He is a put-together illusion. He managed to use technicalities to have every opponent thrown off the ballot in his first run for the IL state senate, so that his name was the only name on that ballot. We all know it.

A while back, a friend of mine who is voting for Obama justified his vote in this way: “did you read either of his books? What a writer!”

There are a lot of exceedingly good writers out there who should never be president. Sometimes I’m one of them! But beyond that, what I did not say to my pal at the time is that I had my doubts he even wrote the books. Why? Because as editor of the Harvard Law Review, he has nothing published. Because we’re not allowed to see any of his college theses. We have absolutely nothing which which to compare his writings to, and that troubles me why?

Because the author of those two books is a WRITER, and this I know about writers - particularly writers who manage to put forth a voice of such lyricism - a writer WRITES; a writer cannot help himself but write.

The person who wrote Dreams of My Father and Audacity of Hope would have other writings out there for us to see. Obama does not. Not a scholarly piece such as might be expected from an editor of the Harvard Law Review, not a thoughtful piece on social issues written for a journal or magazine. Nothing. All those years working as a “community organizer” or ACORN guy, or whatever - no small writings, anywhere, to indicate that this writer was writing. And, co-incidentally, there is nothing out there to which we might compare the voice of those two books. As my L’il Bro Thom often remarks, “you can always identify a writer by her voice.”

I’m not the only one wondering if Obama had a ghost-writer - or at least some major assistance - with his books. Confederate Yankee wonders, too, and further - because the books are so polished - he wonders if they’ve been written by someone rather close to Obama who has written some 15 books, a writer who is always writing because that’s what writers do: Bill Ayers.

It’s just a notion, of course. There is no proof, of course, so all we can do is wonder, as this writer, who sometimes ghost-writes, wonders.

But there is much going on in this election cycle that should make us wonder about things.

I still wonder if Obama never thought he’d get this far, this year. For a while, I believed that this improbable run for the most powerful office in the world - supported by a mere 150 days in the US Senate and a few terms legislating in Illinois - was meant to reward Obama with a place on the bottom of a Hillary ticket, but that things “happened.” That would have made more sense, wouldn’t it? Give Obama 8 years in the background, polishing, learning the ropes, shoring up all of his weakesses, until even his close working relationship with domestic terrorists and his former Socialist past would be rendered utterly meaningless.

They should have stuck to that plan.

But then again, folks, you know what I always say - everything happens for a reason. There is a reason that this untried, unprepared, not-especially-glib-after-all man has been thrust into such extraordinary prominence at this time. There is a reason why so much seems to be coming together to work in his favor. There is a reason why world markets are collapsing just before this very important election, and why they will continue to do at least until after the vote.

What that reason is? Who can say? All I know is, stop freaking out. At this point in the election 4 years ago John Kerry was wandering around hearing himself referred to as “Mr. President.” This point in 1980, Jimmy Carter was planning his second inaugural.

My advice: live in the Present Moment and ask God to reveal Himself and His plan
in that moment. Not in the next moment, not in the past moment. Work on the present moment. If you can get a real grasp of that - and if you can remember that past and future are also constructs, because time itself is illusory - then you have no need to hyperventilate.
for you

Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Go read Matthew, go read the Sermon on the Mount. It’s all about that.

Meanwhile, the press is getting upset about free speech, and suggesting that McCain/Palin are “inciting hate.” It wasn’t “inciting hate” when books and plays and films were made about how President Bush was a nazi, a baby-Hitler who should be assassinated. THAT was free speech. But now…hey, laughing at Obama and sneering at the lying, feckless press - that’s inciting hate, and that should be CENSORED. Get the waaahmublance for the press. They descended upon Palin like Jackals and didn’t think the public would notice.

Once again, we see that all the evils the left has projected upon Bush for these 8 years, are the ones that they harbor within themselves. Classic, classic projection. Bush has never censored anyone, or suggested as much, and he’s had nothing but hate and vile accusations made against him. These folks have made it clear, that censorship is something they really like.

Remember when Keith Olbermann called Bush a terrorist, a liar and a fascist? Yeah. Projection. Let’s talk about Obama some more.

F’rinstance, here’s more on Ayers and Obama.

I frankly think McCain should be hammering the origins of the economic crisis, but this is the path on which they’re choosing to run. And yes, it is important, too. It is important to know who the president of the nation is…which is precisely what the press has been trying so hard not to tell you. They did that once before, too. As Bob Owens notes here in this good piece - the Obama/Ayers/Dohrn association should not be dismissed.

Sarah Palin isn’t the only conservative female juggling act in politics: Meet Minnesota’s Michele Bachmann

Meet Michele Bachmann, freshman congresswoman from Minnesota. Before she was elected to her government position she prayed outside abortion clinics, was a homeschooling, full-time mom and foster mother to 23 children, and even worked in a fish cannery in Alaska for awhile.

Michelle Bachmann"I learned the value of a dollar," she said. "Deprivation sometimes can be one of the most marvelous teachers."

Closed Circuit for friends and relatives

The REAL Reason the SNL Bailout Skit came down - Herbert and Marion Sandler and George Soros

Left wing billionaire George Soros and Herbert and Marion Sandler were satirized on SNL. It came down. Read on. Free speech is under attack.

After this skit ran last Saturday Night on NBC Billionaire Puppeteers Soros and Sandler pressured NBC to pull the skit.

NBC buckled.

You can read about it here. BUT, here’s the real question, do you think that financing Moveon.org and all that left wing money the Sandlers have been investing in electing Obama, the money that has come from connections overseas, the money of over a half billion dollars is being given without strings? Do you think for a second that Soros and Sandler are going to allow Barry to go play in the sandbox in the Oval Office without getting control of him?

I watched the de-bore-it last night and realized, Obama is Chance Gardner and is unknowingly under the evil influence of Soros and Sandler. He’s a puppet.

Our government is being stolen from us by vile and vicious forces. They showed their true colors by bullying NBC into capitulation.

Of course I’m an alarmist. or am I?

Hat tip to my Brother Steve

McCain didn't win last night's debate, he just lost less

I thought McCain looked and sounded terrible last night at the snore-in.

He couldn't have been more incoherent.

Except for Barry.

BHO rambled, generalized and basically kept saying
"I'm too sexy for my shirt, too sexy for my shirt so sexy it hurts"
all night long.

Kind of like K in Men in Black.
Yea, but I make it look good.

Content, neither of them had any.

So, inmyhumblerightwingopinion McCain didn't win, Obama just looked dumber than usual. McCain was marginally less a boob than Obama. I don't think there's a full 16 ounces of Gravitas between them.

Do you really want this man as President? He's a zero. Rudy told us that. It's still true.

I want my PALIN NOW!

Question the Snarky Couric and Gibson should have to answer (and all liberals)

This is worthwhile:

Gotcha Questions for Katie Couric

By Dennis Prager
FrontPageMagazine.com | 10/7/2008
Just as Charlie Gibson did in his interview with Sarah Palin, Katie Couric set out to humiliate the Republican vice-presidential candidate with a series of "gotcha" questions.

This tactic -- rarely employed with major liberal candidates -- could be used equally effectively against Couric, or most any other liberal member of the television news media. It would be highly instructive to have Couric asked questions in the same way in which she (and Gibson) asked questions of Palin.

For example:

Q: Critics of the war in Iraq argue that prior to the invasion of Iraq, America had never attacked a country that had no plans to attack it. How then do you explain the Korean War?

On my radio show, I have asked this question of some of the most celebrated names among liberal intellectuals, and they had little or nothing to say. One major editor simply admitted that he had little familiarity with that war. That is too bad because America invaded a country that had absolutely no intention, let alone ability, to attack the United States. The United States attacked Korea -- and sacrificed over 30,000 American lives -- solely in order to prevent Korea from becoming a totalitarian Communist state. We succeeded in the southern half, and over 50 years later, North Korea remains essentially a gigantic concentration camp.

Q: Many Americans believe that the most important way of understanding the effects of taxation on government revenues is the Laffer Curve. What is your opinion about this?

The Laffer Curve, which, unlike the "Bush Doctrine," is objectively definable, is perhaps the most important economic argument against tax increases -- because at a given point of increased taxation, the government will actually receive less tax revenue, not more. It would be quite surprising if many TV news people, including anchors, could define this economic theory, let alone intelligently discuss it.

Q: Is there any point in a woman's pregnancy at which you would call an abortion immoral?

Couric spent some time trying to show how immoral Palin's anti-abortion position is, since it even extends to cases of rape or incest. That was not necessarily unfair questioning. Even some who believe that human life begins at conception are prepared to allow abortions in the case of rape or incest. But it would be highly educational for Americans to see the tables reversed on pro-choice people: Are there any circumstances when a pro-choice person is prepared to make a moral judgment on killing a human fetus? How about during the third trimester (presuming, of course, that the pregnancy poses no threat to the life or health of the mother)? Or when an abortion is performed solely for convenience (for example, a married woman who was planning to start a new business or to take a long-planned trip abroad -- and the pregnancy therefore came at an inconvenient time)?

Some more possible questions:

Q: Members of the news media believe, correctly, that individuals running for political office, because of their potentially great impact on American life, should subject themselves to interview after interview about their views, values, personal life and knowledge base by often hostile members of the news media. But, the most powerful members of the news media, people who have more impact on American life than almost any politician in America, do not allow themselves to be interviewed about their views, values, personal life and knowledge of the issues. Why not?

Q: Which of the Federalist Papers do you think is most important? Why?

Q: In a question to Palin, you said that "women make 77 cents for every dollar a man makes." If that is so, why don't employers only hire women whenever possible? What employer wouldn't want to save 23 percent for the same work? Is it possible that many women choose more flexible hours, want jobs with less travel and may choose less demanding work given their desire to be home more?

Q: On one of your CBS newscasts this year, you said: "A new study on teens and sexual harassment should give every parent pause. … In a study that appeared in the journal Child Development, 90 percent of teen girls say they've been harassed at least once." Did you read that report? If not, how do you justify reporting it on a national newscast in order to alarm "every parent"? The report defines sexism and sexual harassment as including "sexist comments about their academic abilities, sexist comments about their athletic abilities … demeaning gender-related comments, teasing based on their appearance, and unwanted physical contact." In other words, if a boy says to a girl, "You throw a ball like a girl!" that is deemed an instance of sexual harassment. Isn't that somewhat hysterical?

Q: What did you think of any articles in the most recent issues of Commentary, The Weekly Standard, National Review or any other conservative journal? Or do you only read liberal writing?

While every conservative pundit, commentator and talk show host I know of is regularly exposed to liberal thought, the opposite is not the case. It would be fascinating to learn how much Couric knows about how half the country thinks.

Liberal and Conservative Feminist Conversation as it Should Be

Laura Ingram on Gretta Van Susteran's show
Women are diverse. They have different viewpoints. I mean, you say this all the time, it’s not a monolith. But I think what she does is speak to America and an American sensibility that sometimes is not heard in Washington where we live or in New York or in L.A. Sometimes you have to come to America, the middle of the country. Tom Wolf says there’s the parentheses and in the middle of the parentheses it’s America, okay? So those people who, sometimes they sit in their lazy boy rockers and sometimes their kids eat macaroni and cheese, they don’t travel to Europe every summer. They don’t go to the spas. They don’t have to watch the Sunday chat shows to exist. They actually have real lives. Those people actually see this woman and they think, "Gosh, you know, I don’t agree with her on everything, but she seems really strong, she seems like she loves this country, she seems committed to this country, she fights corruption," and that’s a very positive thing.

Gretta
Joining us is Susan Estrich. Susan was the first woman to run a presidential campaign – for Michael Dukakis in 1988. And, Susan, I suppose, in all fairness, I should say that most people in the Republican Party are waiting for Senator McCain’s speech, but, I guess, I mean, it`s sort fun there’s a woman on the ticket, so people are also excited to hear from her. But is she getting an unfair grilling or is this part of the vetting process by the media?

SUSAN ESTRICH, FORMER DUKAKIS CAMPAIGN MANAGER.: I’ve never seen anything this bad in my life, and, Greta, I was with Geraldine Ferraro in ‘84 – and this is worse. I do have to say to Laura, though, I have a lazy boy recliner, my kid eats macaroni, and I haven’t been to Europe in 10 years. But putting that aside,
I don’t agree with Sarah Palin on the issues. I mean, she and I are very far apart, but I have never seen from some of my friends such vicious and mean-spirited attacks on her most personal choices, which is what they are. We ask that our choices be respected. Hers should be respected. And this questioning of whether she should as a mother of five be running for Vice President, I don’t recall anybody saying that Arnold Schwarzenegger shouldn’t run for governor of California because he’s got four kids. I think this is just really unfair, really sexist, and very likely to provoke a backlash.

The Video Liberals Hope you Didn't' See

This video was put up after Saturday Night Live and then taken down. It tells the truth about liberals in a way of satire that they can't take. OH, the Sarah Palin spoof on by Tina Fey runs 24/7 but this was too hot to handle. But like all videos until it is taken down again (and it will be again) watch this. Vote em all out.

UPDATE:
Since I posted this video, as did many other free speech loving Americans, the socialists have deemed it not worthy and have pulled it down once more. Fortunately, One man was quick enough to record and repost it under his own video server. Until they send the jackbooted SS thugs over to his house to drag him away and kill him, you can see the full video HERE.

I'm only HALF kidding. This is a war against free speech and the liberal Nazis and their media sympathizers are out to quash all voices other than their own. We are under attack America. Obama is a pawn. They are using him. This country is being taken over and it's evil.

Wise and Foolish Virgins and the Bailout

This is worth reading. From Lew Rockwell.com

A Modern Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins

by William L. Anderson
by William L. Anderson

Jesus began to teach the crowd, bringing his message in the form of parables. "Before the wedding feast," he began, "There were 10 virgins. Five of them had brought extra supplies of oil for their lamps, while five foolish ones brought enough only to last a short while.

"Before long," he continued, "The five foolish virgins noticed that the oil in their lamps was running low, and they turned to the five wise virgins and exclaimed, ‘Give us some of your oil,’ they demanded, ‘because if you don’t our lamps will go out.’ ‘We cannot do that,’ the five wise virgins replied, ‘since there will not be enough and none of the lamps will stay lit.’"

As Jesus began to explain the lesson, Rabbi Frank, Rabbi Dodd, Rabbi Paulson and Rabbi Bush stepped from the crowd to confront him. "Rabbi," they said, "Are you not forgetting that you must have a concern for social justice and fairness?"

"How mean you?" asked Jesus, already annoyed that the four rabbis had interrupted his lesson. They began, "Is it truly just that some virgins have more oil than others? Can such a state of affairs be permitted in a just society?" "Hmmm," said Jesus, "I think this is becoming interesting. Go on."

"If there is need," continued Rabbi Frank, "should not others have to meet it?" Interjected Rabbi Dodd, "Why are the five wise virgins permitted to keep that oil to themselves? Should they not have to give it up, in the name of justice and fairness?"

Jesus replied, "I will ask you a question. If the wise virgins give half of their oil to the foolish virgins, would it not be the situation that when the bridegroom appears, there would be no oil left at all and everyone would be left in the darkness?"

Rabbi Paulson then spoke up. "I would hope that you would not appeal to greed," he told Jesus. "These wise virgins have a social obligation not to let the foolish virgins run out of oil," he said. "In fact, the foolish virgins have a right to demand a bailout!"

"You still have not answered my question," said Jesus. "If the wise virgins bail out the foolish ones, would not the bridegroom be worse off because all will be dark when he appears?"

"The foolish virgins have not only a right to the oil from the wise virgins, but they also have the right to take oil from the very Treasury of Oil itself," declared Paulson, seeming to be very proud of himself. Jesus, being puzzled at the statement, asked, "If they take from those stores, how will they pay for it?"

"They have a right to that oil!" shouted Rabbi Frank and Rabbi Dodd. "Besides," they added, "Even if they are just borrowing the oil, in the end we simply will owe it to ourselves."

Jesus still was not satisfied. "Why," he continued, "should everyone be forced to be in the dark because some virgins were not prudent enough to bring more oil? Should they not have to bear the burden of their misjudgments? Why should their foolishness be borne by all?"

At that, Rabbi Bush exploded in anger. "How dare you be satisfied with such a status quo! First, those foolish virgins were victims, for there is not enough affordable oil, and it is not right that only some have a full supply while others go empty-handed!"

He continued. "Second, the only just solution is for the wise virgins to bail out the foolish ones, or else people will have to live in darkness."

"Uh," Jesus replied, "I think that we already have established that if your plan is put into place, everyonewill be in darkness."

Rabbi Dodd interjected, "Rabbi Frank and I have long believed that oil should be affordable for everyone, and that is why we have worked to increase the access of everyone to oil." "I know," replied Jesus, dryly, "Your scheme forced up the price of oil so high that only those who had been wise and prudent with their money could afford enough of it at the end. It is harder now to get oil than ever."

Rabbi Paulson stepped forward with a big grin on his face. "That is why we have a special plan," he told Jesus. "Foolish virgins can borrow all of the money they want from King Herod, who plans to borrow that money himself from the people."

"How will the payback work?" asked Jesus, concerned. "It seems that people will be in debt with no hope of repayment. You say you are borrowing from the people to lend to the people? Does not the Book of Proverbs say that the debtor is slave to the lender?"

"Not in our economy," replied Rabbi Paulson proudly. "We will owe it to ourselves."

And Jesus wept.

This Juxtaposition is so Creepy

This guy creeps me out for more reasons than you can possibly know.

Stop Worrying and have more Joy

At the Men of God meeting we had a great Saturday Morning Session. It was in line with the series on Joy that is going on right now by Pastor Phil. In view of all the bad economic news we decided we should do a How to Stop the Worry and Stress in your life session.

I am good at worry. I do it well and more than I should. I must enjoy worry because I do it so much. We talked about that. In the end we developed key principles of Overcoming Worry in our lives:

First, we came up with principles that deal with worry.
  • When I worry I take on responsibility God never intended me to have.
  • When I think I have control over the outcome of anything I only fool myself.
  • There is no bank of Grace, we only get enough Grace for the situation we are in and not until we need it. Like Manna.
  • God never wastes the difficulty and pain in our lives.

THEN

We developed the 7 most important principles for overcoming worry:

  1. Live for today alone, tomorrow has enough trouble for itself and yesterday is gone. Don't borrow trouble from tomorrow. Matt 6:34
  2. Learn to Rope a Dope trouble. Ask the magic formula questions. What is the worst that can possibly happen to me in the situation I am worrying about that. If it happens can I prepare myself to accept it? If so, what can I do to improve the situation. Cooperate with the inevitable. Philippians 2:12-13
  3. Get the facts before you start worrying. Most of what you hear in the media and in those forwarded Emails and on the blogs are not true. Ask yourself, What am I worrying about, What if anything can I do about that, What should I do and if so when.
  4. Don't let the little Foxes spoil the vines in your life. Life is too short to be small. Don't let the little things eat you up, they aren't that important.
  5. Stop Sawing Sawdust. Rehashing old hurts only hurts you. Dwell in the future, not in the past. If you harbor bitterness or anger over past hurts it's like taking poison and hoping your enemy dies. It only hurts you.
  6. Place a stop loss on the things you decide to worry about. If you insist on spending time in worry, decide in advance how much time you will spend worrying about a thing. Then, after you have invested that amount of time today in that pursuit, stop. You can pick up worrying about it tomorrow. That way you are able to get on with your life rather than obsess over the situation.
  7. Never try to get even with others. Don't be surprised by criticism. Remember nobody ever stops and kicks a dead dog. If you are being criticised it's an indication you are doing something. Don't be shocked by ingratitude. You will not receive thanks for everything you do, if you don't don't be surprised. Jesus was criticized constantly for spending time with sinners and rejecting religious tradition. Mary was criticized by Martha for not helping. She was criticized for "wasting" oil on Jesus feet by Judas. Jesus healed 10 lepers. One expressed gratitude. 9 did not. Jesus got over it. So can we.

We can control our worry habits by using these 7 proven principles. Don't be anxious for anything. But I am wired to worry more than I should. I'm still growing in that area.

Yer Gitten up There you Know

I will from henceforth speak in the vernacular of Palin the Powerful.

In church today one of the fellows, Dan, asked how I was doin. I told him of my elm diggin experience. My sore muscles etc.

How after diggin four of the thirty or so I need how I had given up. Worn. Exhausted.

His comment to me was, "well, you know Gene you're gitten up there". He could have talked all day and skipped that.

What our Schools of Journalism Turn Out

This is so close to the truth it's a little scary.

The fawning of the press over Obama should be embarrassing to the Mainstream Media. I said Should be.

It isn't.

They are and so are all the other Alphabet
networks. If Obama loses, and I hope to God he does, Could it mean that the stranglehold of left wing propaganda has been finally broken? Naaah. They must be crushed and taken over. They will not surrender easily. Viva La Liberation!

I'm talkin bout a revolution......

Messiah Standoff

The Photoshopped Picture at the top was sent to me by an Obama supporter. Sort of a take on Messiah Vs Messiah. That would be ok except the picture on the right above is a serious piece of Obama Worship Art. No photoshopping there. This artist is serious. That's how she sees Obama. God.

So are all the worshipful magazines with the Messiah on the cover. I wonder if Jesus would get this kind of fawning if he showed back up walking the earth. I guess it would depend if Jesus was a registered Republican or Democrat.

What is most disturbing about the Messianic Worship is that of Spike Lee. He said a few months ago:

[Film director Spike] Lee predicted Obama would be elected in November.

"When that happens, it will change everything. ... You'll have to measure time
by `Before Obama' and `After Obama,'" Lee said during the panel. "It's an
exciting time to be alive now." ...

"Everything's going to be affected by this seismic change in the universe," he
said.

-- Spike Lee, American Film Director. July 10, 2008.

What Mr Spike is saying is that after November time will no longer be AD BC. It wil be AO and BO.

Something smells here.

It's either a Dead Chicken or a Bail Out Bill

Just to put the last week into perspective, the bail out bill does nothing. Yes it will pour money into the system. But the economy is still in the tank. Not much will come from this short term. Long term it's up in the air.

The real reason for the bill was to give confidence and reassurance to to people so they have faith to lend money again.

They did that with a bill in congress. It was all witchcraft.

They could have just as well had a Santerian ceremony where a Santerian priest kills a chicken, slits it's throat and then swings it all around to have blood spattered all over the NYSE. It might have given the Wall Street Types some confidence.

OR not.

That's the problem. For the program to work, they gotta believe. If they don't believe the bill could have been for 2 trillion dollars.

The chicken would have been just as good....... If they would have just believed.

And it would have been cheaper.

Are you from Up North??

I have lived in Illinois for the last 23 years. I spoke with a man from Alabama in Business today. He said, where are you calling from. I said Illinois. He retorted, "you're not from there are you, you have a northern accent. Minnesota or North Dakota.

I admitted it. I do sound like I'm from North Dakota, because, well, you know, I am. Born and Raised. I wonder if a person ever loses the accent he grows up with?

This seems a little salient because as I listened to our next Vice President last night, I thought, man Sarah, it would be good to lose the accent. I suspect she can lose it a little, but she will always sound like she does. From Alaska. It's cute, but is it helpful?

But then:

Kennedy always sounded like he was from Massachusetts, Carter like he was from the South, and Bush like he was from Texas.

We better get used to the Alaska accent.

Michelle Malkin's Take

Sarah Palin looked presidential.

Joe Biden looked tired.

Sarah made history.

Biden is history.

***

Prediction: Watch for a whole new, severe strain of Palin Derangement Syndrome to begin.

They hated her before last night. They are going to pour on more unfathomable hate at a level we have never seen before.

Sarah, we’re praying for you.

Signing the Front not the back of the Paycheck

From Mike Huckabee:

I hope that you had a chance to watch the Vice-Presidential Debate tonight and that it reaffirmed all of our beliefs that Sarah Palin is the knock-out punch the McCain-Palin ticket needs to win in November. Governor Palin is a bright, articulate, talented woman. She has what I consider to be the most important experience - she is a Governor and the only one in this race that has actually ever signed the front of a paycheck.

She may not know the answer to every "gotcha" question that some of the talking heads throw at her, but, I don't think any of us do. She is going to make mistakes, but she will learn from those mistakes. Her character, leadership and strong values will get her over the rough spots.

Mike is Great and in my opinion, right.

One Reason why We MUST not have a President Obama

Obama will nominate Judges who are not Righteous Rulers. The Bible rails against such. In an age when Abortion Clinics Brag about how much business they are doing.

Judgment will come upon America even greater for this sin. When good is described as Evil and Evil is described as Good we are in an evil generation. A President Obama will only expand this evil by the election of Pro Abortion Judges. You have a choice. To vote in line with the word of God or to vote for evil. To me it's that Black and White. I don't see how any christian can see it any other way or frankly I doubt they are a believer in Jesus.

There is just one abortion business in the state of North Dakota and its director says she expects it to set a record this year for the number of abortions done. The Red River Women's Clinic in Fargo has been the subject of criticism in the past over bogus medical malpractice insurance and how abortion affects women.

The abortion center has been doing abortions for just over ten years and did a record 1,358 abortions in 2003 and another 1,238 abortions last year.

Any October Surprise will have to be a Genuine Surprise

You have been hearing expectations of an October surprise. Many think that the "Financial Crisis" is an October surprise. Some have been trying by the timely release of political ridicule movies. W and the Bill Mahr movies are attempts by the left to use idiot culture to define the election. The ones who might be persuaded by this ham handed effort weren't going to vote anyway.

Everyone is waiting for the watched pot to start boiling. It may not. Or might.

This article is a pretty good analysis
of the situation. It reads in part:

From Obama's perspective, an October surprise may have begun a month early: The turmoil in U.S. financial markets that erupted in September triggered criticism of McCain's leadership and economic understanding, and polls showed Obama starting to open a lead in key battleground states.

That movement could be reversed in the two remaining presidential debates - or by a true October surprise.

Kerry said any surprise deliberately engineered by one of the campaigns would be a risky endeavor.

"I think the media has grown much more suspicious of it because of the recent experiences," he said, "so I suspect there'll be a lot of scrutiny and maybe even some backlash."

Why Didn't we Hear any REAL Questions last Night

The lack of any actual questions during the debate and from any of the liberal Media says that something dark and sinister, has crept into our society and is working very hard and successfully to turn it into something vile and violent. The fact that the Media has put intentional blinders on regarding the Obama candidacy is not just bias, it’s evil.

What about ACORN and the fall of Freddie and Fannie - Did BHO have anything to do with that fiasco as a Community Organizer? Jim Johnson and Franklin Raines funneling money to BHO. How much actual money has BHO actually received from all these related sources? Is there any relationship that should be inquired about?

What is the explanation for a half billion dollars coming from people named “Will, Good” who’s employment is “Loving You” who gave cumulatively $25,000. Is all of that money from the USA. All half billion? Are we supposed to believe that it is? IF it is, would you do like John McCain and allow examination? Why don’t you? If the money comes surreptitiously from other countries, even from Islamic countries, will you admit it? And return it?

Is voter fraud happening in Iowa. In what appears to be a win at any price, even if we have to cheat, is anyone watching over this? Is the reports of Homeless People being bussed in to vote absentee for money have any credibility. Shouldn’t it be asked?

Will you take a vow BHO to maintian our basic rights? No Fairness Doctrine. Gun Right’s Preserved.

Last, BHO, directly from your website you have made some profound promises. Are these the Headlines we should expect to see and hear after you are elected?

• Obama enacts stronger “federal hate crimes legislation” to “reinvigorate enforcement at the Department of Justice’s Criminal Section.”

• Obama creates “a fund to help people refinance their mortgages and provide comprehensive supports to innocent homeowners.”

• Obama, following through on his pledge to “meet with the leaders of all nations, friend and foe,” signs a non-agression pact with the Hitler of Iran.

• Obama doubles foreign aid to $50 billion to cut “poverty around the world in half by 2015.”

• Obama removes our troops from Iraq, leaving a power vacuum filled by Iran.

• Obama enacts socialized medicine, destroying small businesses with taxes to pay for illegal alien healthcare.

• Obama enacts amnesty for illegal aliens.

• Obama enacts legislation demanding carbon friendly cars, hammering the final nail in the coffin of the US car industry.

• Barack Obama enact laws to reinforce affirmative action by funneling money to “women and minority-owned businesses.”

• Obama repeals the Bush tax cuts.

• Obama enacts the Employment Non-Discrimination Act to entrench the power of the homosexual lobby.

Mderating Tonites Debate is Gwen Ifill

I laughed and cried when I read this (OK, I just laughed)

I'm sure tonight's VP debate will be fair and balanced. It will have all of the objective journalistic panache that Couric and Gibson have shown thus far. This Blogger has received an advance copy of the questions.

The press is so unbiased. (Laughing Hysterically and ironically)

A partial list of Gwen Ifill's questions for the VP debate

Mayor Palin, Barack Obama is a handsome, charismatic demigod. How many boxes of Kleenex will you need after your crushing loss?

Senator Biden, what is your favorite color? And if you have time for a follow-up question: Why?

Mayor, you talk funny and you own a tanning bed. Why haven't you released Trig's birth certificate?

Senator, have you seen those pictures of Obama in his swim trunks? If not, I have them right here.

Mayor, what are the names, ages, and blood types of all 71 members of the Belgian Senate? And why are you unwilling to admit that your inability to instantly produce any and every fact I demand makes you unfit to stand in the way of history?

Senator, you've spoken at length. Could you please continue?

Mayor, which is your preferred method of stifling dissent, banning books or burning them? Since it's both, please explain how you can deny the accusation that you're a fascist, which I am making now.

Senator, could you please sign my book?

Understanding Creation

A good blog acquaintance who has written some brilliant stuff from time to time, really nails a great perspective I embrace fully. I have read and reread this post. If you have a hard time explaining, understanding or defending the word of God regarding creation this will help you a great deal.

Find Ron Mackenzie's Article here.

If you are a pastor, this is essential reading. You need to understand this clearly.

Palin Derangement Alert

From Time time I will make note of the PDS on the part of the press and liberals in general. They are the same you know. They are crazy, nuts, over the top psychotic.

It's fun except when it's not. I would appreciate you letting me know when you see it.

This came from Jack Cafferty.
He has Terminal PDS.

• The Washington Post's Wendy Doniger: "Her greatest hypocrisy is in her pretense that she is a woman."

• Salon's Cintra Wilson says Palin is a "Christian Stepford wife in a sexy librarian costume... like one of those cutthroat Texas cheerleader stage moms."

The Evangelists of Unbelief Strike Again

Every Once in a while someone publishes a book or produces a movie designed by the devil specifically targeted toward people weak in faith to cause them to stumble and fall.

Of course those people who do this will die and go to an eternal hell. I can do nothing about them.

It's those innocents that they drag into the inferno with them about which I am concerned.

I can't protect them, I just want to give notice that I will do all I can to warn them and all I can to snatch them as from fire.

Jesus said, if one of you causes even one of these little ones to stumble it would be better if a huge grinding stone of several tons were wrapped around your neck with chains and you thrown over the side of an ocean liner in the deepest part of the ocean than let you do this.

This is for Bill Mahr who is coming out with a movie Mocking Christ and intentionally designed to cause immature believers to stumble. You are now being sized up for your mill stone. Grin while you can, make fun if you want, hell waits for you. Repentance is your only hope. But, you have too much reputation to lose now to repent. It's all over for you now.

Scoffers don't do well in eternity.

Is Jesus all you Need - or Not?

I had heard a brief comment from someone that Jesus appeared to be useless. This person wasn't a Christian and for him Jesus is pretty much useless. I couldn't help him but this morning I had a sense that many Christians think Jesus is pretty much useless in "real" life.

There are Professing Christians who say many of the right things. Good people. Religious people.
God has saved them from their sins. That's all good. BUT, other than that he is useless. He is useless to do anything else for them. A form of Christianity but denying the power thereof.

  • Healing
  • Finance
  • Protection from Evil
  • Wisdom
  • Miracles
  • Provision
  • Peace
  • Freedom from fear
  • Understanding
  • Discernment
  • Memory of Scripture
  • Courage
  • Protection from Enemies

And a hundred other things we need in our lives that many professing Christians never look to Jesus for. They look to the world, to doctors, professionals, Psychiatrists, Professors and well you see the list. Who do you look to when the going gets tough.

Is your God useless? Mine isn't. By the way, I challenge anyone who reads this to take the list and see if in fact the Word of God promises each and every one of these things to those who ask.

I already did. It does.

How about making your Jesus a little more useful to your people.
He is Able.

Who really caused the Economic Crisis

Here's the Video NO ONE wants you to see. It has been taken down and reposted. It's pretty graphic stuff. You need to watch it unless truth hurts too much.

One More Chance

Grains are limit down. So are Livestock.

It's all a reaction to the bailout failure.

This is one more opportunity. Watch the news. Just as soon as the bailout comes, buy grains, copper, and meats. Not oil. It's going down.

Then ride it for a few days, take profits.

We don't get these chances very often. This is one.

Jesus Could be Coming Back Tonight

Today is according to Jewish Tradition the 5769th year since man was created. Happy New Year.

I don't know what to think of all that. I'm not certain we have the timetable down that cold. But, its good to think about. Tonight as part of the New Year Celebration the Shofar will be sounded.

Many think that today might be the last day and the return of Jesus. Paul gives us a clue:

1 Thessalonians 4:15-17 "For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, and remain until the coming of the Lord, shall not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord".

Jesus Instructed his followers thus:

Matthew 24:31 "And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other."

John the Revelator saw this:

Revelation 10:7 "But in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets."

Jesus comes back at Revelation 11:15 when the seventh and final trumpet is sounded, and this final trumpet is sounded immediately at the end of the seven year tribulation.

Revelation 11:15 "And the seventh angel sounded; and there arose loud voices in heaven, saying,"The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever."

Now, I'm not saying. But tonight, the last trumpet once again will sound. Many prophets believed that the end of the New Year and the beginning of the next would be the time in which Jesus returns. Could this be the year?

I don't know. Neither do you.

But, Behave yourself. He is coming soon. Could be today, or tonight.
