A 21 year young man driving an ATV as young men are prone to has an accident in Oklahoma. He is killed. Listed among the 610 Oklahoma traffic deaths by the Highway Patrol. He's brought to the Hospital in Wichita Falls OK. Brain dead. He has signed a doner card. So after a couple days according to his wishes his organs are about to be harvested.
Meanwhile in prayer rooms big and small, in small groups, in churches prayers for Zack Dunlap rise like incense to heaven. Again and again.
Hopeless case. The boy is dead. They keep praying.
The nurse comes in to prepare the body for transplant by removing all the tubes and life support equipment to wheel him into the operating room.
Suddenly and inexplicably Zack reaches out and grabs her arm. He's alive.
Now, in fairness, there is much reserve in all this. Only a little sign YET!
But I believe in prayer, it works. Otherwise, why pray?

Not to be too snarky Gene but, how’d praying for rain in Georgia work out?
Did anyone pray for Terri Schiavo, Katrina victims, peace in the Middle East, Malibu Presbyterian Church goers, the losing superbowl team, families of Iraq casualties or martyr of your choice?
How about the victims of Ted Haggart, Jimmy Swaggart, Jimmy Bakker, Fred Phelps, Earl Paulk, hundreds of young catholic boys and Pastor Sergio Alvarizares?
I’m sure David Kuo prayed. How’d that work out for him?
Rev. Gary Aldridge prayed, what was his deal again?
Did anyone pray before WW1, WW2 or Vietnam?
The kid hiding in the closet before his abusive father got home must have prayed a prayer or two. Was God to busy lowering taxes to help him?
