Bullys on the Left Suppress the Truth about Climate Change
I love being ahead of the curve on things but Im angry with the elite leftists who impose their views on us expecting us to accept them without complaint or question. I was taught to question everything. That skill is now lost in our society. We are a gullible people.
The lack of good science education and willingness by people who believe liberal socialist dogma to be duped makes appealing the idea that we need to change society to stop something we didnt start. Climate change is happening. Man didnt cause it and doesnt accelerate or slow it by his actions. Full Stop!
Al Gore is the high priest of this conspiracy. Earth in the Balance, his book from a decade ago was a manifesto for global economic control dominance by the left wing elite. Its all-wrong.
Read this from today's Wall Street Journal. A few disturbing excerpts are below:
There is a more sinister side to this feeding frenzy. Scientists who dissent from the alarmism have seen their grant funds disappear, their work derided, and themselves libeled as industry stooges, scientific hacks or worse. Consequently, lies about climate change gain credence even when they fly in the face of the science that supposedly is their basis.
So how is it that we don't have more scientists speaking up about this junk science? It's my belief that many scientists have been cowed not merely by money but by fear.
This has much to do with misunderstanding the science of climate, plus a willingness to debase climate science into a triangle of alarmism. Ambiguous scientific statements about climate are hyped by those with a vested interest in alarm, thus raising the political stakes for policy makers who provide funds for more science research to feed more alarm to increase the political stakes.
Sen. Al Gore. In 1992, he ran two congressional hearings during which he tried to bully dissenting scientists, including myself, into changing our views and supporting his climate alarmism. Nor did the scientific community complain when Mr. Gore, as vice president, tried to enlist Ted Koppel in a witch hunt to discredit anti-alarmist scientists--a request that Mr. Koppel deemed publicly inappropriate.
And then there are the peculiar standards in place in scientific journals for articles submitted by those who raise questions about accepted climate wisdom. At Science and Nature, such papers are commonly refused without review as being without interest.
Alarm rather than genuine scientific curiosity, it appears, is essential to maintaining funding. And only the most senior scientists today can stand up against this alarmist gale, and defy the iron triangle of climate scientists, advocates and policymakers.

The left wants to take over the world, starting with your freedom and your pocketbook. Let's stop them!

Gnostic Confusion and Deception of Judas Papers and DaVinci Code
Oil at $100 or $45? Yes
Thats what makes the market.
T. Boone Pickens, Texas Oil Billionaire makes his money by being right about the price of Oil. He is right this time too. He says with political unrest in the oil producing countries of Iran and Nigeria Oil is going to go to $100 per barrel. FEAR.
On the other hand Ben Dell, a respected oil analyst says the price of oil is about to fall to $45. His whole document is here.
He then says that the price will creep back up to about $60 by 2010. So relax.
Gasoline is going to be cheap with a short-term spike for a while yet to come.
How is all this possible? Fear means if you believe the world is running out of oil and we are going to die then you buy oil futures. Ride the ride up. Political unrest only drives your fear further. You make money on fear.
If on the other hand you believe that the world is awash in crude oil looking for a market and when that bird comes home to roost you are going to see an oil bust, then you look for a way to make a buck by selling the market when it hits $100. Greed.
In this context greed is good.
So, who is right Pickens or Dell? Both!
Heres what is about to happen. Political unrest and instability will cause the world oil markets to peak at over $100. This will be driven by a couple speculators. This will last until the world settles down again. Then reality will set in. Oil will drop like a rock. It will go to $45 and then over the next 4 years creep back up to $60. Thats all in todays dollars. If we have huge inflation, a devaluation in our currency, (Gold at $1000) then you must think in todays dollars.
If you want to become hugely wealthy wait until the oil hits $100 then sell it on the futures options market (a put) and wait as it drops to $45. Send me some.
PS: For Christians only. You already knew this. God never does anything unless he tells his prophets first.

Mohammed has been Reincarnated
This ancient document came to light and details how in these days a prophet will arise and it is I.
Therefore I take my proper throne and ascend to solve all the problems in the Middle East.
And to all my Christian Friends out there, I want you to pay proper homage to me, believe the ancient document that was written in cryptic old German Script and of which we only have scraps. But if you read it just right you will see I am he. Gene the rebirth of the Prophet Mohammed. It says it right there if you hold your mouth just right.
I sense doubt and unbelief out there. Come on. I’m he. The document says so.
OK, maybe not. But why for a second in all of time does anyone even give some document discovered in Coptic writings 300 years after the crucifixion, the supposed Gospel of Judas (who must have written it after he hung himself, some trick I’d say) regarding the divinity or purposes of the Sacrifice on the Cross by Jesus.
I figured if people were that gullible to believe this gospel of Judas drivel they probably also believe the DaVinci Code skew.
People are so ignorant of the Word of God they will fall for anything. Probably not you, but many.
On the other hand, if you do believe any of DaVinci Code Crap or Gospel of Judas dreg then send your contribution to: Gene the Reborn Prophet Mohammed. Just drop me an email with your credit card number and I’ll handle the rest. Minimum contribution $1000.
Thank you in advance.
I’m waiting, still waiting. Nothing.
Unbelievers – they never give.
Anthroprogenic Gobbeldygook (Courage to Face the Truth?)
My sympathy goes out to them and their family. This is a tragedy.
But this should be a day of relief for anyone worried about global warming. If they are true believers in the theory that MAN is the prime mover of Global Warming, anthropogenesis. Then this sacrifice made a difference.
In the Hawaiian islands 200 years ago when they had a bad crop, or too much rain or not enough rain the solution for the tribal elders was to sacrifice a few poor folks to the God Pele by tossing them into a volcanic caldron.
They would do this, and then sure enough the next season something would be different a bit from last season and the priests who demanded this drastic action were rewarded.
Even the families of those so sacrificed were honored. Kind of like war dead are today.
We look at that today and laugh. Did they think for a second that sacrifice to some imaginary entity would have any effect whatsoever? How dumb can you get and still breathe?
I have an answer.
Pretty dumb. And they are still among us.
You see, the whole world is convinced that we, you, me, they are the cause of the global climate change that has been accelerating for the last hundred years. That somehow by living, breathing, burning a fire, driving a car, and passing gas; you are the culprit.
The solution is to sacrifice you. Well, not you; your freedom, your money, your economic future, your choices. The priests of power and media have pronounced that YOU are the cause of global warming and they are also now mandating the penance they want you to do.
The Global Warming Cabal is a global grasp for power by liberals, scientific elites, wacko environmentalists and by governments who want to control the fortunes of other countries by controlling their commerce (Kyoto). When you hear words like “Caps”, “Mandates” and tax incentives run for your life. They are out to get you and your wallet to control something you didn’t cause and you can’t stop. Global warming politics is all a power grab.
Let me make this clear. Climate change is happening. There is NO DOUBT about that. It’s just NOT man made. You aren’t accelerating it, and if all humanity disappeared on the earth today ergo all pollution stopped, all greenhouse gasses stopped as a result of man climate change would just roll on.
I have studied it enough to understand this is part of a cycle that has been going on for millions of years. We are in the last hockey stick global change part of the cycle.
There have been credible scientists that have pronounced this truth. You won’t hear about them in Time Magazine because it’s not the current theology of the liberal media. Liberal media types don’t like dissent. We are all supposed to bow our heads and say yassur and noosur massa.
The liberal media want the populace to move to the reservation and stay on the plantation.
IF you have the courage to open your minds and if you give a rats behind about global climate change at all then you must read this primer. It’s written so even liberals can understand it. Gobbeldygookless.
Then if you believe climate change is still man made or man influenced I suggest you buy a one-way ticket to Hawaii and throw yourself into the volcano on the big island. Pele will be happy and things will get better I’m sure. Or learn the truth and the truth will make you free.

THE Illegal Immigration Solution - KELO Mexico
In the spirit of A Modest Proposal by Jonathan Swift of a few years ago, I offer this practical creative solution for the Mexican Immigrant problem.
The Supreme Court has already demonstrated that sovereignty means little or nothing. So, lets just declare that we need Mexico, Guatemala and Belize to enhance the economic interests of the USA. Its a taking. I mean they all want to come here anyway. So lets make it easy. As of January 1, 2007 Mexico, Guatemala and Belize are part of the new US States.
I have watched enough of the Sopranos and the Godfather to know that if we sent the Right people to the elite in Mexico and the other countries and placed a few equestrian heads in the right beds that the offer we would make to buy Mexico for a dollar would be taken in a minute. The other two would follow after Mexico fell.
I lived in Germany when the wall fell. I was there when West and East Germany were unified into Germany.
This is very much the same. They want to do it from the south, so lets just beat them to the punch. No El Norte. The 75 United States of America.
The currency exchange rate is about 10 peso's per dollar right now. So if you are a Mexican you get your pesos converted to dollars at the current rate. No more Peso.
All Mexicans are made Citizens of the new USA. The states in Mexico become States of the USA. The only border we have to worry about building a wall in front of is the Honduran/Guatemalan border. Thats a fence 30 feet high and about 200 miles long. A Piece of cake border to defend.
75 states of America. Messes up the flag a bit but oh well. Maybe we add a little Green to the flag to demonstrate this new country's unification.
Think of the benefits:
-Oil, these countries have oil. We need oil. Its good for everyone.
-Construction of new highways into the new areas like happened in Germany after the wall fell.
-Housing would improve radically. You cant believe how fast that happened in East Germany after reunification.
-Consider the new building as developers move into these tropical paradises and build condos and hotels on the miles of virgin beaches. I might even be able to afford a beach home.
-The world would become cleaner because clean air rules we live under in the USA would now accrue to the new 75 states of the US.
-Washington DC would no longer be practical as the nations capital. I would propose Dallas. Theres that big airport (DFW) that is way underused. That move might root out some of the corruption as the east coast mentality would be replaced with Texas practicality.
-And, the new President of this new multi-cultural country would be a multicultural President and First Lady Jeb and Columba Bush.
Ex-President George Bush would be close by for advice.
There would have to be understandings.
For instance, were all Americans now. So we are going to flip a coin. Heads we all speak Spanish tails we all speak English. I mean, 230 years ago when the USA was formed we nearly all spoke German. The vote for English was decided by one vote. Or this would have all been auf Deutsch.
Oh, relax, Tony Soprano can fix that too. It'd all be for TV.
Think of the new jobs teaching English to the new American States Citizens.
And don't give me the argument that the world would hate us for our imperialism. What imperialism? We are just making official the net result of what is happening anyway, we are just doing it on our terms, not theirs. Besides, ask me if I care what the world thinks. Who are they going to complain to? The UN? Give me a break. Maybe the UN would get so mad theyd move out of the US. Hey, that's a good thing. The world hates us anyway. Lets take advantage of it before some liberal becomes President.
There are laws against US citizens owning desirable property in Mexico. When its all the 75 United States of America that law will go away. Which way will the migration go then? I'm heading south.
In the end, the realty of this little farce is the farcical notion we can build a fence virtual or otherwise which will stop this. The real problem is the corrupt incompetent government in Mexico who can't make it work. Our money is only stolen so giving them more money to steal is hopeless. Without a competent Mexican Government and a free Mexican economy this flight to opportunity will continue.
So as a good German, and invading Belgium seems so hard from Illinois, who's with me? Im ready to march to Guadalajara. Wadda ya say! Ole'

Goodbye Friend
Tomorrow morning is the funeral. I love Pentecostal funerals. They rock. And it’s not about dying it’s about life. The way it should be.
The mourning is done, He will turn my mourning into dancing tomorrow morning and I plan to dance.
Ken was a friend. Since a fellow blogger wrote a thoughtful piece on what it means to be a friend I thought I would give you some that Ken demonstrated in our friendship. Perhaps Ken best demonstrated that to have true friends you have to be a friend. But, here are some ways he showed it best:
Ken’s Principles of Friendship
1. Don’t criticize, condemn or complain. He was always affirming. Never critical. Oh he could ask the hard questions but without making me feel like an idiot. He had a lot of things in his life which he could have complained about. He never did. He was full of faith that God would make it better. Now heaven is a more interesting place.
2. Give honest, sincere appreciation. Without being phony, Ken made me feel appreciated. Welcoming, warm and sincerely thankful for whatever time we spent together. I loved him for that.
3. Arouse in the other person an eager want. He never asked me to do anything without “selling” it to me. I never felt manipulated. I always wanted to help. At the missions banquet he invited me to I felt like a real honored guest and he made it interesting to come. Bless him.
4. Become genuinely interested in other people. He seldom talked about himself. Oh he could have, but he always wanted to know what was going on. How were things. What did I think about this or that. He let me ramble without making me feel stupid. I loved that about him.
5. Smile. Ken’s smile was the best. It was always there. It spoke volumes. In his casket there was no smile. I know that’s not him but I wondered if somehow they could have made it possible. The good news is there were plenty of picture around the room. All smiles. He could say I love you with a smile. He always did.
6. Remember that a person’s name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language. He knew that my name, others names, all his grandkids names, the names of his customers were important. Was he the best at remembering names. Probably not. But he tried. He knew it was important.
7. Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselves. When we used to get together I would ramble on and on. He would listen patiently. Then I would ask him about his life and he would demur a bit. I had to beat it out of him. Oh there were things but he didn’t feel like it was right to “burden” me with it.
8. Talk in terms of the other person’s interests. We shared Church stuff. But in addition he knew that plants were my passion. So he often would ask my advice on thus or so. Not that he actually needed it but he made me feel like I counted. I didn’t care if he took my advice, the fact that we talked in my language made me feel like I mattered.
9. Make the other person feel important – and do it sincerely. Ken always made me feel important, even superior. One time he asked me to come talk to his Sunday school class. Bring tree branches. Teach on the number of apples in a seed. (billions). He didn’t do it with any reason other than he made me feel important. He asked me to go golfing once. I loved it. I’ll miss that.
10. The only way to get the best of an argument is to avoid it. He could argue. He had opinions. But Ken didn’t go out of his way to push them on me. If he wanted to work me over he could have. We did disagree but never with any vitriol.
11. Show respect for the other person’s opinion. Never say, “you’re wrong.” He sometimes told me I was wrong without saying I was wrong. Ken was an expert at expressing a contrary opinion without being contrary.
12. If you are wrong, admit it quickly and emphatically. Sometimes he was out of line. He was quick to say. OOOPS. I was ready and willing to forgive and forget. We had too much invested and too much trust not to.
13. Begin in a friendly way. When Ken was trying to change my mind he always started with a chuckle. So disarming and so ready to be loving as he delivered what information I was about to get. A little sugar makes the medicine go down.
14. Get the other person saying, “yes, yes” immediately. He would always help me come to a right position by getting me to understand his. But he did it by establishing grounds for agreement. I can be crusty. He broke thru the crust.
15. Let the other person do a great deal of the talking. I am ashamed of how I dominated the conversation in our relationship. He would sit quietly and let me ramble till I hung myself. Clever that Ken.
16. Let the other person feel that the idea is his or hers. When he wanted to give me guidance he would lead me to the place where I could come up with the idea myself. Sort of shine the light of truth on it long enough till I see it. I could trust him.
17. Try honestly to see things from the other person’s point of view. We did go to “Blows” sometimes. But now without his trying hard to understand my viewpoint. I don’t think he always accepted it, but he tried to see how I might think that way.
18. Be sympathetic with the other person’s ideas and desires. He tried to walk in my shoes without being critical. But he never lost his objectivity. He was in tune but not always in agreement and I came to understand the difference.
19. Appeal to the nobler motives. He sometimes would appeal to my deep experience, or my Christian ideals (without saying, you call yourself a Christian?). He would talk in terms of keeping my focus or bearing during conflict and crisis. Ken walked with me during some of the darkest times of my life.
20. Dramatize your ideas. He would sometimes make comments or demonstrate things with actions. He at one time was in a clown ministry. He had traveled several times to the Philippines on missions trips. From this he learned to preach by acting. He used that drama in personal relationships too.
21. Throw down a challenge. I believe if you put your mind to it you will come out on top. He said that to me when I was at the bottom. What’s that worth? He believed in me. He believed in the God we both believe in.
22. Begin with praise and honest appreciation. When he had a hard word to say to me he would always give me some love first. I appreciated that.
23. Call attention to people’s mistakes indirectly. He seldom said, YOU DID THIS. I would because he would beat around an obvious bush till I got it. No offense correction.
24. Talk about your own mistakes before criticizing the other person. I can hear Ken say, “Lord knows I’ve made some stupid boo boos”. What came next might have beeen mine, but they were framed in our mutual humanity.
25. Ask questions instead of giving direct orders. Sometimes he had to deal with people in his business. I know it was hard. It would have been easy to just say, do it this way. But he would cajole. I admired that.
26. Let the other person save face. Ken knew things about me that he could have rubbed my face in often. He never did. He let it alone. He didn’t bring up the past. He could have. I’m thankful he was forgetful. Maybe he wasn’t so forgetful but I’m thankful none the less.
27. Praise the slightest improvement and praise every improvement. Be “hearty in your approbation and lavish in your praise.” When he saw me doing something right, he would give me a hearty hug and a loud attaboy. I loved that. Even if it was little and insignificant, it counted.
28. Give the other person a fine reputation to live up to. He made me seem like I was so high class that I could never do what I thought I did. I loved to live up to that idea. I failed sometimes. But he didn’t rub my nose in it.
29. Use encouragement. Make the fault seem easy to correct. I remember once when I was talking about a personal problem I was having that seemed to be a show stopper for me he talked in terms of it not being a big deal and that I should have no problem dealing with it. Maybe he was right. It did seem easier because of his encouragement.
30. Make the other person happy about doing the thing you suggest. Sometimes when I knew what he expected of me I would think, I don’t want to do this. But with some persistence he would lead me to the place where I could buy into the idea. Even be happy about it.
That’s how Ken was as a friend. How he was as a husband, a father and a minister. Hard to say goodbye. What is certain is this. He didn’t have any expectations of me. He was an unconditional agape friend. He made sure we had nothing between us. If I ever disappointed him I didn’t know. It’s hard not to love a person like that.
There’s one more thing. He lived by the golden rule X 10. If he were here right now he would give you and me this advice.
1. Fill your mind with thoughts of peace, courage, health and hope. There’s too much pain in the world as it is. Find peace. Have courage. Live in Hope and I would say faith. And health will follow.
2. Never try to get even with your enemies. He had people who did him wrong. Cheated him. Damaged him. He knew the proverb, if you go to dig a grave for your enemy, dig two.
3. Expect ingratitude. Ken knew that most good deeds are punished with ingratitude or indifference. He was never surprised by it. He was always willing to forgive. He didn’t carry a grudge. He just went on. Sometimes when people weren’t thankful to him for all the good things he ever did he smiled and lumped it without it causing an ulcer. I had a problem with one of his service men once. He made it right. I thanked him, I paid him, but not enough.
4. Count your blessings – not your troubles. Ken had lots of troubles. Lots. He never spent much time talking or thinking about them. He concentrated instead on the goodness of God in his life. I want to live like that. I sit and brood on my trouble far too much. Lead on Ken.
5. Do not imitate others. Ken knew who he was. He didn’t try to be anything else. He just tried to be the very best Ken he could be. He didn’t repent of his DNA, the way God made him. He knew his strengths and his weaknesses. He didn’t try to be someone he wasn’t. I’m glad.
6. Try to profit from your losses. Ken had loss. He always made the best and tried to come out ahead. He didn’t brood over the loss. Not loss thru death, not loss thru broken relationships, not loss thru finance or opportunity. No loss was a death loss. Even death is his gain, it’s just our loss.
7. Create happiness for others. Ice Cream. Ken loved ice cream and made sure we all got some. He was a children’s clown for Jesus. He was Captain Ken of the Circus for the kids crusades. He would do anything to bring a smile to others.
That’s what a friend really is. Giving without expectation of receiving. Keeping no account of the relationship. Valuing every person in the relationship without evaluation. Keeping no account of wrongs.
This is all Biblical. This is also all drawn from the years I spent with Ken and the years I learned from Loehle Gast in Dale Carnegie. They are both gone now. I miss them already.
But, the day is coming. We are all in OUR last days. Every time I pray with my wife I say these words, “Thank you Jesus for the time we have together, bless it”. I know Marge will not hear that again on this side of the veil from Ken.
Treasure this moment, it may not come again.

Egotistical Journalists
Horsepucky!
Let’s dig a little deeper into what she is really saying:
Newspapers do, in fact, matter beyond producing profit -- they have a critical role in democracy. It's called a well-informed citizenry.
How about a New York Times which buries stories about reductions in military deaths in Iraq and any other story which might not support their left wing agenda (and Molly’s) on page 26 lower left below the fold. That’s brainwashing not a well-informed citizenry. I trust the blogs, Drudge, and conservatives who keep an eye on the nutcases on the left and publish it with or without “credentials”. Citizen reporters are the modern day well armed militia.
I have long argued that no one should be allowed to write opinion without spending years as a reporter –
This is the one that gets me. There are many very good writers I can name of national and regional note who write far better than I can. I have proven my lack of skill in my submissions to this blog. But I occasionally touch a nerve that needs touching from time to time. I’m always suspicious of people who speak or write well who’s opinions because of that ability is held in higher esteem than a citizen opiner. If you want someone well spoken and professional take the Hollywood left. Many of them are very skilled. They speak well. Does that make them better qualified to analyze the events of the day? I know of a woman who is one of the better writers in North Dakota who teaches at the college level. The problem her opinions are often so shallow and poorly researched they just become well written derivative pap. But because of her skill many people read and nod with approving bobble headed non-discernment. This “pay the dues” attitude is meant to be intimidating to those of us who may be less than excellent in writing but who have opinions with equal gravity and reason to the glib ignorant. Hitler was praised for his ability to communicate with the masses. So is Molly Ivins. Nuf said about that.
As older news-gathering media decline, some of the strengths they offer in monitoring the powerful and verifying the facts may be weakening, as well."
Give me an ever-loving break. This is the same media mafia that tried to sink President Bush with phony Documents in the Rather affair. They don’t verify facts. They jump on any liberal cause idea and run with it and spike stories which have the capacity to be damaging to the treasonous agenda of the left. WMD’s found in Iraq. Heard much about it lately? How about the nutcase that wants to kill 90% of the worlds population. That been on the front page of the New York Times lately? Liars.
I've thought for years that newspapers should all be owned by nonprofits.
Well, Ms Ivins, get George Soros to finance it. Oh wait, he likes to make money. Newspapers hate this but, NEWS IS GATHERED AND PUBLISHED TO OFFER A VEHICLE TO SELL ADVERTISING. That’s how money is made. It’s always been that way. That’s why stories that might damage big advertisers are kind of kept in the dark. There are non-profits who have owned and operated newspapers. Pravda was one during the cold war. Molly would have done well there. Please go now Molly; I’ll drive you to the airport. You’ll like it there.
Being the ONLY one to report skeptically on the administration's claims about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction before the war?
How well did that work out? A false claim that they still live like it is the truth. Reporting skeptically. Sounds like the blogosphere to me. That’s where the real questions are asked. That’s where the real issues are aired.
I don’t want newspapers to go away. I just want snooty journalists to get off their high horses and descend to at least the troposphere. They are such weenies. I don’t like them much.
Now, as a gift to journalists everywhere, I will now share the way to save the newspaper industry. Ready? From this article reprinted from the Chicago Tribune today.
In Europe 80% of young people under the age of 30 read a newspaper every day. In America it’s less than 25%. They have the same number of music videos, computers, Internet, TV, video games as we do in the USA. It’s just that kids in Europe (where they have school choice) are taught to read. Stop supporting the public education monopoly that refuses to teach our kids to read.
So, Mr. Newspaper owner, you want to increase your readership and save newspapers? Get on the side of School Choice. Molly Ivins, you want to see newspapers multiply and prosper, take on the monopoly of the teachers unions who don’t teach and get kids to learn to read.
That doesn’t fit the liberal agenda so don’t wait up.
Hypocrites!
His Gain is My Loss
I grieve. Not for him, for my loss. He was my age plus just a few years. Never a minute of trouble with his heart. Just here now, then gone. I grieve for this wife. I grieve for his kids. I know there had been some distance between him and one of his sons. That son will feel the pain of this loss more than many.
When my dad and mom died I was only 13. But like a goofy 13 year old I had just had an argument with dad. Then he was gone. Unresolved conflict leaves a scar.
So as soon as I heard about Ken I called my sons. Not for any reason than to make sure that the potential for unresolved issues was settled. They are.
But I’ll miss Ken. I know Marge will miss him more. I also know that even if he could come back again he wouldn’t. For Ken, to live is Christ, To die is Gain. Our Loss, His Gain.

Sharia is not a Liberal's Friend
I worked in Germany in international business during the first Gulf war. I speak fairly fluent German and was hired by a large multinational American company to solve some problems.
Some of this multinational’s customers were some companies in Iran. They had representatives in our factory to consider buying machinery. After the discussions about equipment were concluded, over refreshments I had the opportunity to talk to them man to man. They spoke fluent German. We discussed world affairs. Saddam. Iraq. Iranian politics. All very amicably.
I asked how these very western looking and acting men were able to deal with the Islamic Fundamentalist regime ruling their country. They said that Sharia law was difficult but not impossible to work with if you just didn’t do stupid things. They were law abiding married men with kids who worked every day, went to mosque, paid their taxes and kept their head.
So, I ask you. Let’s suppose we lose the Middle East conflicts. Islamic Fundamentalism rules the world which is it’s announced intent.
Just like when Hitler said to his Hitler Youth:
"...You, my youth, are our nation's most precious guarantee for a great future, and you are destined to be the leaders of a glorious new order under the supremacy of National Socialism. Never forget that one day you will rule the world…" - Adolf Hitler, 1938.
So the President of Iran says to his people:
“We must believe in the fact that Islam is not confined to geographical borders, ethnic groups and nations. It’s a universal ideology that leads the world to justice”, Ahmadinejad said.
“We don’t shy away from declaring that Islam is ready to rule the world”, he added.
They expect to win, they have the money, and they have the will; And they are getting the military hardware.
So, how are things going to be for liberals in the “Islamic Republic of America”? As a conservative I think I’ll get along all right. But after the Islamofacists take over Canada (where Sharia Law is already partially in effect) and then because we may well elect some weak-kneed liberal as President in 2008 we better all bone up on our Sharia Legal Code.
Let’s see how that’s going to work out for you liberals:
- Brokeback Mountain? I think those cowboys would end up as headless horsemen if this happens.
- Gay Marriage? Well maybe in the prison you will find yourself in.
- Abortion? Eye for an eye means what for the abortionist. Sign up for protesting the outlawingof abortion when the Ayatollah is in charge.
- Adultery? Open Marriage? Living Together? Shacking Up? Sex and the City? Everybody must get stoned.
- TV will get just a little Narrower than the offerings we have today.
- Oh, and New York Times. I don’t think so. You’ll long for Fox News.
I’m sure you can come up with more. The fact is, if liberals just thought about it just a little they would get behind President Bush and scream like heck to win at all costs in Iraq, invade Iran and anyone else they can think of to stop the global cancer of islamofacism.
One other thought. If Sharia law is such a bad idea for the USA, maybe the folks in the Middle East seeking to be free deserve the same as we have. That might even be worth fighting for.
Just a thought about freedom.
Think about it Liberals. On the other hand that may be antimaximological.
El Pandorista is out of the box
A couple days ago I posted on Say Anything. Something Rob, the owner of S/A, allows me to do out of the goodness of his heart.
My intention is not to be particularly controversial. But I am by accident.
I told a true story of a conversation and experiences I had with a grower in Tennessee in the nursery business.
It has caused a small brushfire.
If you want some interesting reading take a look at this.
I guess I just raise a hackle wherever I go.
Sorry (I think).

The Substance of Things Hoped For
When I taught the Dale Carnegie Courses we spoke a great deal about envisioning what you might or could do. We called it the Should Be. That was as compared to the AS IS. Now that more of my teaching is Biblical. the same thing is true. We speak of things that are not as though they already were. We know that FAITH is the SUBSTANCE of things hoped for.
This man who wrote this article below has had that experience. So have I.
The question is, what great things would you do if you knew you could not fail, The other question is, who said you would or more important what if you did. You might have succeeded, but you will be guaranteed to fail if you never try.
THE WISH LIST
Not long ago I came across a yellow sheet of legal pad paper tucked into my old journal I refer to as my "Black Book of Dreams."
I knew exactly what it was before I unfolded the old piece of paper. I was taken back to the very place and time I had dumped all of my ambitions onto one piece of paper. I had been a young man fresh out of college beginning a career and starting a family. I was a young man with more dreams and wild ideas than even I could imagine. I had begun reading great motivational books and proving the wisdom I had found in them and knew I could accomplish just about anything I set my mind to. And so, one evening I pulled out a legal pad and decided to make a personal WISH LIST. I decided to hold nothing back and to write down every practical, impractical, exciting, scary, outlandish WISH I could come up with. It was my list after all, and it could contain anything I wanted.
With nothing but my imagination and heart to guide me, I started writing. Some of the things on the list made me laugh out loud, some made my heart race, and some made me flat out excited. When I was done, I read the list to my wife. As she had done before and would do many times over the next 20 years, she helped me believe that we could accomplish any of the things together.
I never forgot the WISH LIST, but I can honestly say I didnt use it as a tool. I tucked it into my journal and never really went back to it until recently. As I rediscovered this list what seems like a lifetime later, I was amazed at how many of the things that seemed outlandish and impractical at the time of writing them down had actually happened. I had actually done 75% of the things on the list including writing a book, running a marathon, starting a consulting business, "traveling around the country giving talks on sales," and taking at least one vacation a year with my wife and one a year with our children. I was amazed and excited to realize how many great things in my life had been on this sheet of paper before I had any idea if, when or how I would ever accomplish them. There were many crazy things that I havent come close to and maybe never will, like walking on the moon, meeting 3 U.S. Presidents or making a movie, but it sure is awesome to see how many of the things on my WISH LIST eventually became a written goal and turned into a dream come true.
What if making a WISH LIST opened your mind to the possibilities in your life? What if it stretched your view of yourself enough to accomplish any percentage of the WISHES you wrote down? I know from my experience it was a worthwhile exercise from a crazy kid with every place to go in life. My personal, private brainstorming session subconsciously confirmed that I could do at least some of these things I wished for.
Why not take a half hour and start your WISH LIST? Really, WHY NOT? Who knows how many of the crazy things you dream of will become your reality by setting goals to get there.

At the bottom of the page that I had labeled my WISH LIST were thoughts on the next steps to take...Im guessing I took those steps on the WISHES that really mattered to me most. This list from a young, inexperienced kid holds the same disiplines I use and teach today.
1. Write it as a goal.
2. Put a date on it.
3. Determine what groups and people need to help get you there.
4. Decide what info I need.
5. Identify the obstacles I need to overcome.
6. Develop a game plan.
7. Know whats in it for us
8. Become a goal-setting machine.
9. Develop a positive lifestyle.
10. Write the principles and outlines of goal setting based on experience and the knowledge I have acquired.
11. Turn your DREAMS into WISHES, your WISHES into GOALS and GOALS into action...make your dreams come true.

| Opportunities We Didn't Wish For |
|
| |
Sometimes we get what we wish for, and sometimes we are faced with opportunities we never dreamed of. I learned a great lesson recently on SEIZING THE DAY and knew without a doubt that my original response to an opportunity would have kept me from an amazing experience. Unlike the author of the previous article, I am not prone to seeking adventure or stepping out of my comfort zone. Im often content to sit back and truly enjoy watching others do something exciting rather than doing it myself. This was certainly the case last week as we ventured to Provo, Utah, on business and had a day in the mountains with no responsibility, a certified "play day." Traveling with our 21-year-old son on his spring break, we were looking for something fun to do on our day off. I was glad to do the research, make the phone calls and set up reservations for a 2-hour snow mobile tour. The two Jim Paluches were thrilled and excited to be heading into the mountains for a snow adventure.
I packed a good book in my bag and headed off with them for a beautiful drive up the mountains. I can honestly say that I love to watch my family have fun and was completely content to sit in the lodge, enjoy the surroundings and read my book while they drove their snow mobiles off into the distance. When we arrived, the air was a mild 40 degrees, the sky was clear and the sun brilliant. "Ah, two hours to stare at the mountains, read a book and chill out..." As they signed the forms and searched for the right size ski suit, my son enthusiastically said, "Mom, youve got to go with us! When are we ever going to get to do this again?" I looked at the sparkle in his eyes and looked out the windows at the snow-covered mountains surrounding us and thought to myself, "I really have no desire to get on the back of a snow mobile and hang on for dear life for two long hours." Then I said out loud, "What if I cant hold on and fall off the back?" This was obviously not a thought process that would qualify me as a positive thinker and the guide said, "The only people that ever fall off are the ones that think they are going to..." Now why did he have to say that?
In the next few minutes my slight hesitation toward wanting to please my son had me in snow gear from head to toe, and I was committed to an afternoon I will never forget. It was one of those opportunities that sneaks up on you and calls for a response. Five short minutes into the ride, I knew I had almost missed something great in my life. There was no way they could have ever come back and explained what it was like to be part of the snow-covered mountains, to whiz around in the powdery snow, to step off the machine in the middle of a huge meadow surrounded by mountains in every direction and be in snow up to your waist...I could have completely missed watching my husband and son have the time of their lives and would have only enjoyed the "leftovers" as they might have tried to explain it later. Oh, what I would have missed, a shared experience of laughter and a number of heartfelt screams to, "SLOW DOWN!"
It made me think about the importance of being content and yet not letting that contentment rob you of something great. It might just be that the unexpected adventures in life are the ones that cause us to examine ourselves, challenge us to stretch our vision of what we think we can do and expand our reality. Im not sure of how many times I have missed opportunities like this in the past, but I am confident that Ill recognize others in the future because of one sunny day in Utah.

Mexicans Versus American White Boys
This happened this morning.
I am in the nursery business. During this time of year getting product dug and shipped and out the door is all we can do.
Finding competent help is the issue. Much of the nursery trade uses Mexicans. Many are illegal.
I was speaking to a large nursery in Tennessee who was complaining of their plight. They had posted signs all over town looking for workers. $11 per hour. Pretty much hard manual labor. The phone had rung off the hook all morning. White boys hot to trot.
Heres what the nursery operator said: "Mostly we got calls from white boys. You know, pick-up drivin mullet wearing tattooed types. We used to hire them but they couldnt finish a days work and never came back a second day. If they had to do actual work they complained all the time. Now we only hire Mexicans. We can tell who we will hire by their accent. If they speak English we dont even discuss it. But we did get a couple who couldnt speak a lick. They'll be great".
Pure and simple reverse discrimination.
So this morning in Tennessee 2 more illegals took jobs White Boys are still looking for. I know the type. Did you ever see the TV Show, My Name is Earl. Thats your average white boy. You want him working for you?? I like blue collar TV as a joke but hiring them is a joke.
So, the white boys in Tennessee stay on welfare and unemployment and the illegals are hired because they actually do work.
In fact the nursery said they pay MORE for a good Mexican than any white boy they ever had working for them.
I can tell you from my own experience its true. I was never sued for workmans comp by Mexicans (twice from white boys), I never had to discuss sick days with Mexicans (a constant battle with white boys) and I never had to push the Mexicans to finish an undone job with a little overtime (when its Miller Time for white boys they quit).
I wish it werent so. I wish the work ethic among the white boys were equal to the Mexican labor force. Its not in my experience.
Somehow our weenie school system, video games, TV, draconian child labor laws and the hip hop culture has bred the work ethic out of our country. I fear for the white boy future. They dont have one.
Jose and hose B do.

Public Educational Suicide
You will want to see this. public schools in Washington DC can't educate kids to even graduate. Yet private schools for a third less money have most of the graduates attending college.
I know all the arguments.
But, the truth is, public education is dead dead dead. Never coming back. It can't come soon enough in my opinion.
You will want to read this. If you are a teacher, this is going to bad for your long term employment.
Wendys is still hiring.

The 1374 Year War and Counting
Prophet Muhammed's farewell address, March 632
"I shall cross this sea to their islands to pursue them until there remains no one on the face of the earth who does not acknowledge Allah."
Saladin, January 1189
"We will export our revolution throughout the world . . . until the calls 'there is no god but Allah and Muhammed is the messenger of Allah' are echoed all over the world."
Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, 1979
"I was ordered to fight the people until they say there is no god but Allah, and his prophet Muhammed."
Osama bin Laden, November 2001
In case you are confused, the western world Christianity has been at war with Islam and it's imperialist notions for 1374 years. We just didn't always know it.
The war was engaged on US soil September 11, 2001 when men and women bravely took on and took out hijackers of United Flight 93 and crashed the jet in the fields of Pennsylvania. Thousands of lives and gallons of blood have been spilled since. The idea that we can retreat to our borders and leave the battle unfought in other lands like Iraq that many well meaning Americans believe would be prudent is delaying the inevitable. We must win this war on all we hold valuable and dear or surrender our lives on the altar of political expediency forever. This is a battle we must win. Retreat or defeat is not an option.
I have wondered why the silence from the so called Muslim moderates when Rhaman was sentenced to death in Afghanistan. It's easy to understand now. They know what side they are on. We don't. This isn't about hate, it's about recognizing those who hate me, you and the life we choose.
Those quotes at the top are on the lips of much of the Islamic world. They are the emerging world religion which will take a historic run at crushing anything resembling Christianity on this planet. Christianity to them means anything NOT MUSLIM. That means you.
You can read more here. But when they come for you or your children, you have been warned. Get ready, This is war.
